    Thank you for sharing this. It’s almost exactly the application I have making a mantel for my sister-in-law. I struggled thinking I needed to build it in my shop and try to make it fit at her house. Your way is much better.

    A lot of work in that house… @6:43 the craftsman style headers should have had a little more beefier casing IMO especially the front door…
    You do beautiful work

    Very nice, I need something more rustic looking for a grey stone fireplace.

    New to this and saw your video. What kind of nails did you use? Did you do a 45 degree cut to make sure the board fit evenly? Thanks.

    • @michigancrownmolding
      @michigancrownmolding  Před 2 lety

      Thank you for following my channel, and yes whenever possible I’ll use a 45 for my cuts, and typically I use a 23 gauge nails, and sometimes 18.. I use adhesive caulk on Everything (everywhere) so the 23 gauge are my go-to nails more often then not ..
      thanks for the comment, please get back to me if you have any other questions as I would enjoy helping

    Are you using a Brad nailer or a pin nailer? Also what gauge of brads/pins do you use?

    • @michigancrownmolding
      @michigancrownmolding  Před 2 lety

      More often than not I use the 23 gauge pin nailer as I use Adhesive Caulk everywhere and anywhere so large nails are not that important.
      Thanks for watching, more videos to come :)

      thank you for watching :) ... everything gets glued... everything... what good is gluing the miter if you do not glue everything else ?... we glue everything, top, bottom, and all sides... i appreciate the input.
