- My son absolutely loves the Harry Potter book series, so when we took a trip to Porto recently we spent an entire day checking out all of the 'alleged' inspirations. Porto is a wonderful city and it is definitely worth checking out if you have the opportunity to do so.

Just a couple of days ago I was trying to get my wife to remember this bookstore and it’s influence on the Harry Potter series.

Thank you so much for sharing this. We’ll be visiting Porto for a few days in Feb 2022 - would like to see the bookstore but with our limited time I was kinda ruling it out. Any tips on getting to see it without wasting hours in a queue?
Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. We've been there twice in the last month. This was our first time, and we went right when they opened at 9:30 and had to wait in line about 45-50 minutes. However, last week, there were significantly less tourist in Porto in general and we went to the bookstore in the afternoon and only waited 10 minutes in line. So if you go in the morning, go at least 20-30 minutes before opening or wait until the afternoon :).
