Ah good ol Billy Carrington. A song you would love by him is "Good Directions".
And turnip greens
#THEGOSPEL
I second this.
Awesome song
she's from the south...she will love that song haha
A great country song, tells a story. It makes you laugh, cry and think in the span of three minutes. Give or take. That's magical if you think about it.
One of the nicest people you will ever meet
This song reminds me of lessons I've learned in life as a 40 year old white guy. Always take an opportunity to talk to the older generation, life lessons knowledge and insight some from experience. Plus they usually have some kick ass stories! Stopped to talk with an older black man in a wheelchair the other day while at work, the experiences he endured, the loves he talked about and the wisdom he shared left me speechless. The conversation lasted for about an hour and all I could do was shake his hand, thank him for his service and ask for a hug which he happily obliged.
Couldnt agree more....just 14 years more...i never tire of talking to others who may have decades of wisdom....good and bad ideas...well said sir đ
I don't think it means just the old though. I think it means we should lend our ears to those who are in need of being heard.
That we should listen twice as much we speak.
Brad Paisley - I'm gonna miss her đ€âŒđŻ
How about Brad Paisley "The Pants"... so funny!
One of my favorite songs of his. And âPretty good at drinking beerâ lol
I had a old neighbor like that.
Wanted nothing but to sit and have a drink and a good talk.
His songs âIâm pretty good at drinking beerâ and âa bad day of fishingâ are great
Yayyy finally some Billy Currington! Must be doing something right was my wedding song with my exâ€ïž
Pretty sure it's very evident why your ex is your ex, and it wasn't them
John Five đ oh if you only knew. It was def him homie couldnât keep his dick in his pants. & since Iâm not lacking in self esteem I left
Was his zipper broken? đ JK. Good you you bouncing out. Ur a cutie. Iâm sure you could cause many zippers to break. đ€Ș
Bryan Knutson đđ that actually sounds like an excuse he would use. But nah he was just a pro ball player & thought I gave AF about his money & would stay no matter what. He was wrong! But atleast I graduated college with no student loan debtđ€·đœââïž
Great song
Alyssa lies by Jason Michael Carrol will break your heart!
James Bailey Incredible song!!!
No doubt about it...
I love that you are so open to multiple forms of music! Thank you, I love to see genuine reactions to music like this.
You absolutely have to do âMust Be Doing Something Rightâ by Billy Currington
Marc Grice absolutely! It's the sexiest country song I ever heard!
JAMES OTTOâ JUST GOT STARTED LOVING YOUâ đ„đ„đ„đ„
I've seen Billy live in concert about 5 times...fantastic talent...very good guy and superb stage performer! Loads of fun!
Every time I hear this wonderful song I cry even though I know the old man is gonna die. Gets me every time.
This song reminds me of a true story. My great uncle owned a bakery in Chapel Hill North Carolina. There was this homeless woman who walked the streets. My uncle and aunt would leave the day-old pastries and bread for her to have the next day. Everyone in town Moore and she was very nice. When I was a teenager and worked at the bakery during the summer I saw and met her many times. As the story goes, when she died they found out that she was a very wealthy woman and had a large home, but chose to be homeless and live on the streets. Makes you wonder!
Be kind to everybody. You never know how important that could be to somebody.
Billy Currington has amazing smooth songs you will love checking out more of his songs as well as his storytelling
That's true. He has some good songs. Good Direction is one of my favorites
@TOO SUSHI I'm very glad you reacted to this song. It is easily one of my favorite country songs ever and few people ever react to it.
Billy has shown a lot of really neat songs, this being one of my favorites. Goes to show you, somebody you meet in a bar and can be kind to them you never know what will happen!
Love how you really feel the songs in your heart
Love you and your fiancĂ©âs reactions. Much love and respect from Texas. Have a safe and wonderful holiday. Stay awesome.
The super interesting subtle detail about this songwriting that may have already been brought up is the fact that the old man is describing himself and that when billy puts the beer on his grave, heâs completing the old manâs summary of life. Heâs with god now that heâs moved on, heâs crazy for leaving his fortune to a man he met once, and now he has beer after life.
Most of the time it's the simple things in life... that people want and need. Good conversation and being real and realistic; knowledgable about what's happening in our crazy world... and a few beers. Thank you for reacting to this song!!
I gave Troy the idea for this song and almost every word in it. Told him that the story comes first. Kinda cool to see my words in a number one country hit. Peace Jim
I love that song, always have and I love your reaction. I could tell you were touched by the song. Thank you
Again, thank you so much for doing the song for my friendâs funeral the other day. I go back tomorrow. May God bless you and your daughter.
That songs gets me every time đą one of me favorites thank you for reacting.
I can't help but smile every time I hear this.âșâșâș
I love how emotional u get. I always do too when I hear touching songs. Thought I was the only one.
This is the truth- I am an old man, and there is no truth greater than that - God is great , beer is good and People are crazy. Took me a lifetime to realize it, hope you all learn it sooner.
GREAT REACTION! Billy is a great songwriter!
Funny story about this song, my grandfather had listened to this song when i was growing up, he always told me he wanted to do that, when i was 8 he bought me my first guitar, an acoustic, he helped me learn some things on it, then in return, I learned it for him, after he passed away 8 years later, I had a older buddy of mine buy a six pack for me, and i threw it in my truck, sat it on his grave, and played the song one last time for my old man, my father figure.
Story Time With Phoenix damn man sorry for your loss
One of the few newer country songs I like.
Lol newer
MrVladislav420 weâre not talking about rap, where the shelf life of most songs is about 3 months. With country, anything less than 20 years old is newer. Hence why I said newer, not new.
Jeremy Marsh not really. There are a very few out right now that I care for, but Iâve heard country all my life. Besides, I didnât say it was a great song, or a bad song. I said one of the few that I like, which is purely subjective.
@@MrVladislav420 I agree with Kyle. I consider this song to be "newer" as well. I began to stop listening to country radio about 15 to 20 years ago when country began to evolve into something other than country, and I think a lot of true country fans are like me. I consider anything from at least the early 2,000's on as newer or new "country"
This isnât newer itâs probably older then me and Iâm 16
I Loved Her First - Heartland...
Man!!!! These reactions are on a roll!!
Definitely!!! " I loved her first" by Heartland. My niece danced w her Dad at her wedding to this song. A M A Z I N G song!
Sush - you always say so little and yet - it's spot on. Kindness, compassion, empathy and concern are huge. i love your romantic, idealistic heart (much like mine). Your tears are very meaningful and show your true strength. Thank you for your time and insights reacting. You have a future here, I'll be watching. :-) Chuck in NE Kansas
You are the only 'Reaction Channel' I watch now, lots of reasons to many to name. Music is the one thing that can bring people together. 1.Your genre is very broad and refreshing. 2. I can recognize a good spirit when I see it. 3. Your goodness floats somewhere between your heart and your throat, when something touches your feelings deeply that goodness hasn't for to jump. It goes right to your eyes and comes out..
Thanks for the Song and Reaction.
I play this song. It's taken awhile before I could play it without tearing up... I like most of Billy Currington stuff.
one of my all time favs
CHRIS YOUNG â. GETTIN YOU HOMEâ đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Kindness goes a long way. True story. There was this guy who went to a diner every day. He was a real PITA. Only one waitress would serve him. He died. Guess who was remembered in his will? This is a fun song. Thanks Sushi.
I remember hearing this song the first time and itâs definitely a cool story and catchy tune. My favorite of his is one called âMust Be Doing Something RightââŠlove that one and I know you will too⊠;-)
I will always love Billy Curringtonâ€â€â€
Shout out from Ohio love the reactions
P.S. Love u girl! Enjoying your channel. Ty
Billy Currington is one of the crazy ones. Lol He lives about a mile up the road from me & has quite a reputation, locally...
Iâm sorry but I donât understand why but ya someone I admire ya got one hell of a heart I bet your family is so proud of you and thank you letting me know it doesnât matter who we are we can love each other
Proof country songs can be light hearted. Nice Reaction. "Good Directions and Turnip Greens" is another good one from him.
I happened across your channel with a reaction video for the Righteous Brothers. I honestly had my mind set that it would be a hit piece considering that the younger generation usually disregards past generation's cultures and norms, believing they do it better. After your assessment of that song, I was impressed. Your honest approach to a song that appeared outside your norm was refreshing. After watching that video, I subscribed, and went back to your first video and worked through them observing your reaction to other songs. WOW. A short background, I retired from the Navy (24 years), Trained sailors for an additional 8 years, and drove a truck for 3 years. I spent 5 months in Atlanta at the Shepherd Center, and enjoyed what I was able to see while there. Yes, helped a friend cut down a tree, it ended poorly, hence the Shepherd Center. You are correct that country music tells a story, some good, some bad. Although I listen to various music, Navy will do that to you, I have always gravitated to 50's and 60's country and rock, even though most of it is before my time. I do have 3 songs that will test your emotions meter. James Bailey is correct with JASON MICHAEL CARROLL "ALYSSA LIES". It still gets me. John Michael Montgomery "The Girl", and Skip Ewing "My Name Is Christmas Carol". I now look forward to your future reactions, so keep them coming.
Itâs an honor having you apart of the channel đ
Ohioan here! Happy that you complemented us, thank you!
I love when you react to country music! I'm thankful that I was brought up on this music and taught these little values in life. I heard you say that you have a daughter, so I was wondering if you could react to "Alissa Lies" so you can see another side of country music. Cheers from your American fan in Australia.
The older gentleman in the video is Mr. Day. Greg Day and Jamie Day are Billy's close friends. Mr. Day passed away about a year after this video came out. Billy is from Georgia, right here in Effingham County. Used to play with Billy on River Street and a bar called The Cavalier on Abercorn st. in Savannah, Ga.
It's great you got an open mind too hear new music!
An old song but still one of my Favorites, always wanted to find an old man like that, would talk all nite, know Iâm the old guy, (but not richđ) đđŒđ€
If more people would just sit together and have a few beers this world would be a better place!
Love your reactions. You are the least obnoxious of all of the reactors I've seen. You are honest and wholesome.
Must be doin something right by him is lovely
Yes
I like this woman.
I like that she's willing to listen to them is pretty cool in my book.
I think she's a country girl deep down.
She needs to listen to his song
"Good direction"
They are both from EFFINGHAM co. Ga. The old man James Day , His son was/ is one of Billy Curringtons best friendsâ€ïž
Met Billy in person.....He is the sweetest person....he just hates shoes....lol. Must be doing something right...great song and won video of the year . Sushi check that one out.
Sushi im curious if you have ever heard the voice of Bonnie Tyler. She is amazing. Would love for you to do a reaction to her song "Total Eclipse of the heart" đ
You are one of the sweets ppl i have seen u r a fool love your videos
I love that you also react to country, most channels do not... Iâm glad you explore all types of music..
Billy Deitz or if they are willing to the rock get more votes for rock metal or country Sundays. I just might quit listening to Layed Back
This song is an update of a song called "Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine" by Tom T. Hall.
We all just need to be good to each other. There is so much wrong with the world, but we can do so much right while were here.
the old man i knew from the old bar always said to me...after i bought him a beer..."your generosity is only exceeded by the exuberance of your verbosity"....i still remember..
....funny thing is i didn't talk a lot!
Great video and a beautiful reaction from a beautiful Lady!
Lol...imagine that...a true country song telling a story that had an unexpected ending to it! It is fun watching you react to new songs...traditional country songs especially...because most of them surprise you just when you thought you knew where they were going. ;)
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.. đđ» đș đ€Ż
Three statements that are so true. Fun song with a lot of truth and makes you think.
Love this story in the song
Always loved this song.
I always liked this song. You should give a listen to Darryl Worley, I Miss My Friend.
You look great Sushi, pray you and your fiance have a blessed life
After I lost my home in 2016 due to a massive flood in southern Louisiana, I moved up to Greenville, Ohio, so I could be near my two grandsons. God is good, beer is great, people are crazy. Listen to Billy's song, "Pretty Good at Drinking Beer."
Makes so much sense
I love this song. He tells it like it is.
