I had a similar situation several years back. Me and another guy were on the road working and staying in a hotel not far from the work sight. We got back after work and there was an older fella out. We started talking and he knew people from where we came from. We had a great week swapping stories after work. Didn’t get a million, but I’ll never forget it.

Billy Currington is my absolute favorite artist! You should watch “Walk a little straighter” he wrote the chorus when he was 12!
Billy has some great feel good songs. Try "Good Directions" "Pretty good at drinking beer," and my favorite "One Way Ticket."
Most of our town is like that. My best friend is amazed by the way people like to talk to everyone. He was baffled when he went to the store to get a pack of cigarettes and it took a half an hour.

True story, I went to the ER with my friend and his wife because he needed stitches after he cut his hand..I went out back and sat down on a bench with an old black man and we struck up a conversation..He had been with Gen. Patton all over north Africa and was extremely proud of his military service..I shook his hand and thanked him when I had to leave..My friends wife said you probably made his day and I said no, he made mine….Don’t ever miss those opportunities .

I had a similar situation on a business trip but the guy didn’t die and leave me his money. It was a great conversation though. I like talking to older people and hearing their life stories.
What I get from this is he was one of the few people who would sit and talk to the old man. Obviously, his family didn’t. Or else they would’ve gotten his fortune. Maybe that time bullshitting with someone is what the old man needed.
Shoulda watched video on this one. The words are slow enough and video adds to it.
