Oh its Society, its the hard physical jobs, it cant be what he actually said...what is the matter with you?!....Women will do anything to not accept responsibility for their impact on men...its his family making him feel this way because its family first, then him. The song came out in the early 2000s so if you weren't around then, you may not get all the political references. I'm a white guy from Australia and I had no idea who C Dolores Tucker was but she was a black activist who campaigned aganist gangsta rap music and naturally made some enemies in the industry. Eminem was also very critical of the US government in those days. Dick Cheney's wife, Lynne, campaigned against Eminem's music and he responded my making fun of her husband's heart condition in Without Me. There's a heap of other references I don't get either. That's just Eminem though.

Music like this will last and be still listened to for generations to come, unlike the garbage that is pumped out these days, with singers running around, showing off their bodies or guys with their pants down around their knees.

I can tell you a military service men's or woman Experiences are this. Picture yourself in a crowded room, Surrounded by people you know, people you are willing to lay down your life for, and are willing to lay down theirs for you, And then You have this feeling of being all alone. You don't have your family next to you. No wife/husband, no girlfriend/boyfriend, And wishing you were with them instead of all of these fine people that you've met.

last time i went to omaha beach to thanks thoses fallen heroes that have freed my country, i cried in the middle of all thoses cross; a veteran came to me and told me " don't cry, stand up and smile to my squad, in my squad we allways hates seeing peoples cries" i knew it was a joke but it made me smile in the middles of my tears, seeing this video remember me this vet and his words, every years now i'm going at the exact same place to thanks them and smile to them as a thank you for you'r sacrifice....

I know I'm late here. However, I just want to put in a thought: Home Free are a band/group of the 21st century. Boys 2 Men were very much a band from the end of the 20th century. That we today feel that Home free makes this song "better" is at least in part driven by the fact that we all are living in this time now. HF simply do the more contemporary version and as contemporary people we tend to like that better. Speaking as someone who is (judging by the looks) at least twice as old as you. And I remember thinking, feeling and living very differently then - not just because of personal circumstances but because the culture around me was very different than it is today.
