Very good indeed you are a great instructor and thank you for taking the trouble to make the mock-up. Great design engineering too, engineered to make it simple and quick. Great stuff altogether. Hope you made more videos since.
This vid makes it look so easy, I followed everything exactly only I went outside and looked up to find the rubber didn’t flip back to seal the wall even tho everything pushed through and clicked as should be! Ended up using ladders and a long stick to just flip that rubber lip back.
Problem i see with this system is rubber has a finite life and this system is only good for brick wall. Pebble dashed houses will allow water ingress so will need corking
If just fitted 2 of these and have one problem when fitting mine. I find the clips that lock into the teeth on the side of the pipe are not very strong so you hear it pop out when the rubber seal pushes back so no matter how many times I push it all up tight I hear it click and come loose again. The second vent I fitted I wrapped a few runs over the clips and it helped. I’d like to see a redesign where the clips are on the inside tube like 3 of them and the barbs on the outer tube inner. This way it would be more Secure and allow for a slightly wonky hole because these clips are on the side so the teeth misalign and don’t hold tight.
Kit can be ordered through any electrical wholesaler that use Manrose. List of stockists: Kew Electrical, TLC electrical distributors & online I would suggest a company called I-Sells.
I purchased a house built in 1920. It has 3 brick fireplaces. They look in good shape. No missing mortar or bricks. I am in central Florida. It is only cold 2 months a year. The fireplaces haven’t been used much. To improve efficiency. I would like to install an outside air intake. Then install tight fitting glass doors. I want to seal the house up to stop air leakage. Mainly for air conditioning. Is this a wise thing to do? Will it provide enough combustion air without using indoor air to fuel the wood fireplace. Is this something a homeowner can do?
Do you know if you can buy a similar product for a tumble dryer vent? I live on the 3rd floor & scaffolding hire is quite expensive & I dont do well with heights.

If you are setting the measurement for the thickness of the wall what are you pulling back to form the seal? Wouldn’t any measurement more than the thickness work as your pulling it back? This bit is the only bit that confused slightly, I’m fitting over the weekend. Thanks for the helpful vid👌
if the exhaust pipe on the conditioning unit is 4” or less - you should be able to adapt it to work...as I’ve never tried to do so, I can’t be 100 percent.
Thats a great product but missing some vital information. where can we get them is trade discount available postage arrangements. also i use a lot of inline fans almost never use a wall fan is there an attachment to allow a remote fan ducting to be attached. this would be ideal as i invariably end up fitting grills to gable ends we use fixed grills but even just avoiding the ladder work is worth it
Electric Workz Kit can be ordered through any electrical wholesaler that use Manrose. List of stockists: Kew Electrical, TLC electrical distributors & online I would suggest a company called I-Sells.
Unfortunately they are not designed for air conditioning units, they may be adaptable depending on the diameter of the air conditioning exhaust tube. But I’m afraid that’s something that you’d have to adapt yourself as there is no kit for AC units as yet.
Lord_Edge Hi, The internal vent can fit wall thicknesses from 225mm to 390mm. Most older houses are an old 9 inch brick solid wall and that's without internal plaster thickness. Hopefully this vent can accommodate older properties as it's the only one available. I would check the wall thickness before you purchase one to save you any bother. I hope this helps.

Unless that’s a self propelled fan, how would one get a cable in through that ducting? 🤔🤔🤔
Where's the hole for the electrical wire?

Yes you can set the measurement slightly longer and pull back 👍🏼
Great vid. Can this be used for a portable aircon unit?

Great video and very educational. I need this done at my house but unsure what type of tradesmen to contact as I have no idea! Any help?
It would be an electrician for this 👍
Hi, it’s an electrician for this 👍
Do you do ones to fit portable air con units on?

can the vent kit be used for cooker hood termination? Thanks for the Vid.
It can take any 4 inch ducting - thank you
Can you get shorter ones for older houses without cavities?

Thanks
Yes you can
Are you available to fit this extractor fan to my bath room in Lincolnshire please? May 2022
Kind regards
Gulin

Is there an option for 150mm holes?
Not at the moment, but plans to make in the future.
where do you run electric ?
This is just a ducting not a fan
The biggest problem here is to prepare the wall for this job. It is impossible for me to open a perfect hole in the wall:)
Any local hire centre can hire you a core cutter for the job 👍🏻 which will cut the perfect hole.
you don't need any power then
