I like that you tell about the products and everything like that instead of just showing how to install them. So many people. You think you're going to get to watch a video to learn and understand more about the products and what's the best choice but you don't get that you get mostly. This is how you install it and if you do get somebody who's telling you something about the products it's extremely vague. I've been trying to figure out for an electric stove doing a exhaust fan that actually pulls the air out of the house. One that's good for a tiny home Aunt. It's just crazy

One idea for you - so when decoating you could use the ceramic vent cover (is it ceramic?) and cover it with a illumnaire you created earlier. Then everybody thinks the air vents are ambient lighting...
Cool video! Two notes for others though: 1. Never use an angle grinder to cut metal sheets, the temperature destroys coating. Read about it. 2. If you just cut a circular hole through Tyvek and put the venting pipe in it - there is still a slight possibility for water to penetrate to the other side of Tyvek and gather in the insulation. This is why it is better done before you cover the Tyvek with metal/wood, you can seal it better.
Any chance of more tiny house ventilation videos? I had horrible moisture problems last winter that caused mold. I got a dehumidifier and a hygrometer to monitor indoor humidity and it helped a lot. I also plan to vent my OTR convection microwave outdoors (which wasn’t done when my THOW was built). The main source of moisture is when I heat water or cook on my induction cooktop which I hope will be alleviated after I vent the convection microwave outdoors. I just want to know if there is anything more I can do. It gets cold here in Eastern Iowa in the winter so opening windows is not the best option! Thanks for the best CZcams channel on tiny house construction!
One quick idea is to make sure the place is nice and warm when moisture is about. My plan during my canadian winter is to blast the house with heat, have a couple of windows open to freshen up the air/balance the air and have my ducted range hood push out the moisture. I'll be installing these though too.
At my old job, I had an office in a barely finished basement. In the middle of summer, we would run a heater in there instead of a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down. We kept a hygrometer in there to keep an eye on it. Turning on the heater brought the humidity levels way down.
So...in case this great post/video is monitored. I am getting an 8x28 THOW and am trying to learn what I need for ventilation beyond a bathroom fan that I'm planning on installing. I know there are expensive HRV and ERV systems, but I'm on a low budget and wonder if two passive vents and some kind of fan can suffice. I will also have a mini-split in my tiny home in case that matters. I'll poke around more at your site as I really like your instructional approach and details. But please direct me to where/what I need to see/learn if you are able. Thanks so much for this site!
I have two bedroom that suffer from condensation have an airbrick that’s been covered up thinking of putting one of these in each of two bedrooms would a seperate hold need to be made in the brick or could it be put in front of the air brick partially?
I have a modular home and wondering could I use inside floor vents on that north side as I am concerned as to snow blowing into the vents with the set up that is shown here?
I would think yes, especially since windows are probably going to be closed most of the time in winter, so some passive ventilation sounds like a good idea!
Would this help with negative air pressure issues? When we have the AC or the heater on, all the windows make very loud screaming sound, the only thing that helps is opening a window but that lets in a ton of outside air which makes us freeze in the winter or lets in too much heat/humidity in the summer.
Based on what he says, there is a manual damper that you can open and close. So yes, this would help with negative and/or positive air pressure in the house. Probably only need 1 or 2

Is it possible to have too much air exchange? Or can I get a range hood and ERV that have any cfm count? Thanks!
It could, and in some cases it was, but getting a 6x6 hole in a 20 foot long 36 inch wide horizontal metal panel to perfectly line up with the block would be pretty hard. Also, I didn't decided to put it there until the house was complete.

I already took care of all the utilities. I am also looking into the requirements for turning it into a THOF. It appears to be possible based on my own preliminarily research.
If they made a 2 minute video they wouldn't collect Monetary compensation for all their time and hard work. You either dedicate the time to watch or you can pay someone to do the work.

Would this be something worth putting into a wooden summer house. That is to be used over winter.

Air leakage infiltrations through the building envelope is enought make out air needed for the PANASONIC continuous fan.

There must be physics standards in building books.. there is a standard for attics you can look it up

For a 16 it's really hard to justify anything more than a fan unless you live in an extreme climate. Where are you located?
