@@DeBaccoUniversity you speak of ceramic mental Halid being used in combination with HPS to supplement spectrum. I've been using ceramic metal halide for over a year to vegetate plants. This year I bought a 630 Watt DE CMH lamp I found out why 3K CMH lamps don't work well on their own for flowering. HPS lamp alone opposed to CMH lamp alone produce all around bigger yields watt for watt. However, the blues and UV in CMH lamps help stimulate more resin production and all are nd healthier and resilient plants..
Great video as always! You mentioned you have a 315w in a 2×2 is that dimmed to keep the heat down? I wanted to put a 315w cmh in a 2.5 x 2.5 but most people think its too much? Do you think its too much heat in a small tent? Thanks for all the videos... they've taught me a lot!!
I am running 315 CMH in 2×2.5 gorilla shorty tent now for over a year, I like so much that I am setting up another one! Dimmable ballast for HID can change their spectrum.
CMH vs LED depends on what you stage of growth you are focusing on and cost to benefit ratio. The ballast is the portion of the grow light that takes the power from the outlet and converts it to be used by the grow light. So, they are a very important part of the artificial lighting system.
Still popular in Alaska, keeps my babies nice and warm,
Good stuff 👍
Thanks
Good to hear and these do have situations where they are the "best" choice.
As long as I learn something new the video is good enough for me.
Glad to hear you learned something new! Hopefully you and others find this with other videos on this channel.

That should work out just fine just be sure to have a ventilation system.
@@DeBaccoUniversity great!! Thanks for the response, greatly appreciated.

Cmh vs led?? Also what’s the practical use of ballast how does it effect the grower in everyday use??
