    Vivosun appears to be selling bulbs manufactured by EBM lighting (a lot of companies sell their bulbs in rebranded boxes, Vivosun clearly went the cheap route and did not even get the rebranded boxes). I have those bulbs, they came with the EBM ballast I purchased.

    Hortivision 3000k 600w CMH Bulb has the best Medicinal Spectrum Horticulture Specific bar none. Finished with a 10,000k high UVB Finishing Bulb in the last week. Goodnight competition. Also I noticed you factor in the packaging.. well the Hortivision 600w CMH Bulbs come in a solid Box like a Watch comes in.. and then when you slide the top half of the box off, inside is a solid foam black lid with a groove for the bulb, and then the buld itself is sitting hidden inside a solid black foam square you almost can't even get the bulb out similar to the ipower packaging.

    Its clearly a yieldlab AKA growace ad but in comments people are making choices that impact their life saving medicine based this company's commercial. Not a fact based ad but one 90% is a comparison of the packaging. I'm surprised he didn't determine the best bulb by his favorite colored logo. Packaging is the only factor that does not matter when choosing any product. What does matter is the bulbs C.R.I, its efficiency, ballast compatability, light spectrum, ir or UV output, longevity, wattage consumed, or price. Click bait and spam at its worst

      Are there not other considerations besides PAR and cost when selecting which bulb is "better" or "Best"? Some, like myself and possibly Kyle, find the spectrum of a bulb the most important feature, even if the bulb is poorly packaged and a few bucks more. It was a GrawAce video that help sell me on the Philips in the first place.
      Your video did introduce me to new bulbs on the market. Thanks. But I won't buy one of them without a good look at their spectrum no matter their cost or package..

    • @GrowAce
      @GrowAce  Před 5 lety +2

      Yes, True spectrum is important. These bulbs were all supposed to be relatively the same spectrum. Spectrometers are hard to come by but we aim to acquire one in the future.

    • @MIGROLIGHT
      @MIGROLIGHT Před 5 lety +1

      GrowAce I compared spectrum of Philips 930Agro, Omega, Protopia and EBM bulbs. All the same spectrum, no difference. Philips superiority is a myth. I think it comes from Philips putting PAR numbers in their spec sheet and nobody else does.

      If you want to go there, Growers House did not show the actual test either. They just showed their results. Which were measured at different distances so that would explain the different results. We do however commend them for using a spectrometer something we hope to do in the future.

      @@GrowAce @MIGRO @kylesisseck, ya screw Philips! And no, not like a Philip's screwdriver...
      Philip's are also known for BLOWING UP. Actually I hear great things about Philip's yield and spectrum tho, but apparently low quality fixtures are known to blow up the Philips bulbs because they cant get adequate power it stresses the bulb and they burst, which can melt your skin and eyes, people have been hurt and blinded by Philip's, the only CMH bulb in the market with explosion recall and readily warrenty exploded bulbs, an instance which most companys only see with USER error....
      So this makes me wonder if PHILIPS bulbs pull more watts! You should test it!
