Firstly, Wonderful video as always! You consistently share such invaluable information that goes a long way in helping us regain quality of life and health.
I’ve been suffering from plantar fasciitis for roughly three years now (in both feet), terribly fallen arches, severe top of the foot pain in my right foot, a developing bunion in my right great toe and have recently developed what research is suggesting to be bunionettes on my pinky toes. I’ve noticed I have completely lost the ability to spread them to the side and when I try to do my toe spreading exercises daily, they seem to be adhered to my fourth toe and I can’t isolate movement in them anymore. Already this is having a huge negative impact on my feet pain and balance to name a few things.
I already go fully barefoot around my home and am trying to save up for barefoot shoes as due to my weight issues, I haven’t been able to use the current Altras I have (my weight shifts my feet out to the side and my feet slide around in the shoes which makes it literally impossible to walk properly). My past Doctor told me my feet are very wide due to having been heavy my entire life and that I can’t expect them to ever function properly and to expect things to get worse and worse as the years go on.
I refuse to accept this quality of life death sentence if you will and am working on losing unhealthy weight and trying to work on healing my feet as I know this will go a long way in improving my overall health. All this to ask (please forgive the comment length) is it possible for you to make a video on bunionettes (or sometimes incorrectly referred to as tailor’s bunions)? It’s an area I am still very ignorant in and would so appreciate your expertise! Thanks so much! Keep up the excellent work and spreading of truth!

This is so helpful! Thank you. I was going to order size 8 Origo shoes but, because of my bunions, the feet are too wide. This has been a problem for me for years and all my shoes stretch out at the bunions. I could use sandals for the summer, but closed shoes and runners are a major problem.

This is great content. Thank you so much. I have a question though. Until five years ago I had a tendancy towards a bunion but never had any pain or gave it any thought. I then dropped a plate on the toe joint and it turned into a full-on bunion. I then started using barefoot shoes and toe separaters and for five years it didn't get worse. It was fine. And then last week, opening the boot of my car, a heavy plastic box fell onto my bunion. And now it is painful and has got bigger. I absolutely loved this video and will start doing some of the exercises you mention. But does it make sense to you that my bunion should get worse after dropping something on it. Is this a form of arthritis? Which I don't have anywhere else in my body, though I might have if I didn't eat a clean diet. Thank you again for the video. I will be buying some of your packages.

I am thankful for your content. Almost everyone has a bunion in my family and I was made to believe it was a genetic issue. I am 33 and I always wore tight shoes as I have narrow feet. I really thought the narrower, the better even if it made my feet hurt. But I recognize my feet in a lot of issues mentioned in the video : not a lot of toe flexion, tight muscles, fallen arch... No doctor ever mentioned anything else than wearing personalised insoles that never solved anything. So I just ordered my first pair of barefoot shoes and toe spacers and will create a routine of exercises. THANK YOU!

I am so grateful for you & your information on bunions! You are so spot on!! I have viewed some of your previous videos...purchased toe spacers (definitely helping especially in shoes), ordering toe socks (which I wore yrs. ago) Long story short, I am now working w/a trainer. No surprise here as my issues are: weak Glutes, tight ankles, weak feet muscles! And yes, running made it worse. I can now hike and walk w/the spacers. I will postpone running a little longer. Taichi is no longer painful in stocking feet (w/spacers) which I feel are getting stronger. I didn't realize how weak my feet were until I had to come up on the ball of one foot transfer weight with a turn to the other foot. Very challenging, if not impossible sometimes. It has been 3 months and I am just now able to to do these movements, a lot better. My next step is to buy these types of shoes and get rid of my orthotics (even though I now have less aggressive ones). I will also be adding those exercises that you suggested as well! Thanks for all you do continue to do for people like me! 🤗

I like Origo shoes but why should these type of shoes always look casual and sporty? Please designers, create shoes that are healthy, comfortable but also look smart and elegant and even chic! I grew up in Italy in the 70s and shoes had a larger toebox than those in the UK where I now live. It's always a struggle to find beautiful, elegant, smart shoes that don't restrict my toes, yet this shouldn't be the case, it's just a gap that I hope more designers will fill as personally I don't like to wear trainer-type shoes, I am not keen on the sporty look.

Thanks for the elaborate video.. once you watch about bunions, it's scary to see how many of them have this issue..
I have 2 questions about these.
    1. What are good formal shoes for bunions, for women. Most shoes have narrow toe box so finding the right shoe is a challenge?
    2. A friend of mine had a swelling and pain in the big toe joint and one of the things the doctor suggested was not to have any protein powder since high amino acids after 40 can also be a cause for such swelling. Have you heard anything about this or what are you thoughts?
    Thanks a lot

You cut holes in your shoes for your bunions to be free, wear arch supports and your feet don’t hurt.
