- I check out the "Fatboy scrambler" from Fatboy bikes. This is a genuine unpaid review of an electric motorbike that is also an e-bike that I did for a mate.

That suspension is a no brainer!
The only weird thing is the weak arse controller is only rated to 500/600 watts for a 1000 watt motor?
But it does look impressive!

How is this bike at climbing steep hills?
It was effortless really including some rough off road dirt tracks
no 750/48 w version like Dirodi Rover +???

You need a chain tensioner on the bike otherwise you going to wrap the chain around a stick and your off.
The derailleur is also a chain tensioner.
The mark up on these rebranded Chinese bikes is going through the roof

I have an ampd bros ace demonX
They look identical but mine has dual motors
Fatboy Scrambler has a few differences I can see visually. Green and black color way is better, handle bars are lower, mudguards look better, tyres look fatter. But yeap they seem to be essentially the same bikes as the Ampd bros offerings. Fatboy needs the dual motor option and I'd pick it over the Ace X Demon, as the Scrambler has a sleeker tougher overall look about it.

We are only just starting out as far as e-bikes go, our laws are backwards so the uptake is somewhat slow.

Is it legal to use throttle only? Im in Queensland pretty sure here you need to register it if you are going to use throttle. Or can you just be sneaky about it?
