- Did the speeding driver who crashed a school bus while ferrying schoolchildren in Tennessee do so intentionally? The mother of one 6-year-old victim told CBS Radio that the driver, 24-year-old Johnthony Walker, asked the kids on board if they were prepared to die prior to the wreck. "My daughter said right before the bus flipped that he was speeding around the curve and asked them 'Are y'all ready to die,'"Jasmine Mateen told CBS News' Mark Strassmann. #InsideEdition

They consider your income when setting bond. Bus driver probably makes $35,000 a year. Football player makes minimum of 1 million a year. Football player could pay that without flinching, bus driver got to put his or his momma's house on the paper.

Well, speeding and accidentally crashing doesn’t make someone a bad person, just reckless and dumb. The little girl could be lying or he probably said that as he felt he was losing control of the bus and it was his way of releasing that stress of the inevitable or he was a psychopath. We don’t know.

I lived right down the street where this happened. It was a devastating moment that our city is still recovering from. He was sentenced not too long ago but it was a slap on the wrist (at least to most of us)
The sad thing is he's back in jail for having a inappropriate relationship with a 14 year old girl while he was out on parole

People should be able to pass a stress test before working around children that age. My son is 5 and I have to take a deep breath sometimes because kids don't know when to stop. You have to have the mental capacity to effectively communicate with them without losing your mind.

Tragic, hearts should go out to the families and victims. People judging this young man should hold their tongues and let the judicial process decide his degree of guilt. You can tell from his mugshot he had been crying. He has a family too and will live with his consequences for the rest of his life.
