You mentioned tuning the 6L80 After the swap, the trans modual needs flashed? Transmittion longer on 6l80. Shorten driveline or use dL from 6L80 vehicle
Hey man I have the same truck and keep running into issues with the 4l60 built trans and I’m doing the 6l80e swap and I can’t find that harness can I get some help thank you
Can you show the connection of the orange wire when you get that done please. I’m getting ready to do the same swap and want to make sure I get the orange one into the right spot.
I have a 07 Escalade and I was wondering if I can to do a complete pull and drop in a 08 Silverado and just plug the harness into the computer and take it to get turned
Man this wasn’t that bad of job I did this swap on a 4x4 Application and everything bolts right up I’m change over to a awd set up it was very interested seeing you do this on a 2wd how do you like the 6speed vs 4 speed I’m running 3.73 gears
The swap is very simple problem is there ant much about it out there. But yeah man well worth it and 373 with this 6l80 compared to 4l60 day and night.
Did you get the shifter tapp to shift to work ? Also how was the 6l80e vs the 4L60 I’m looking at doing a 6l80 behind my LY6 in my 2010 that has a 4l60 with 3.73 gears . I’m curious if the 6L80 will pull harder with the gear ratios ! Thanks for the vid btw
i haven't installed it yet the shifter 6l80 is stronger and the 4l60 and gear ratios are way better and yes it will get up faster with 373 gears check out truebluemotorsport.com for the interface and thanks for taking the time to watch the video
@@GBP_Vlogs thanks for making the video I was looking for a whole truck to do the dreaded swap then saw your video . Picked up a 6l80 tonight and going to order the stuff from true blue . He was saying the 4l60 crossmember and shifter cable works for the 6l80 . Hoping with the 3.73 she looses some time In the 1/4 mile and helps with towing a bit :) Do you know if there wire is there for the tap shift and if we swap in a 6l80 cluster if it will work ?
@@IMRgarage I know the cable works you will have to just get the cooler lines trans lines. As far as the crossmember I used a custom made one that was for a 4l80 but if he said the 4l60 one will work then i would trust him since he has done it And the wire comes with the interface You just have to wired it to the shifter and cluster the stock one work too unless you just want to swap to the one that indicates the M for Manuel mode
The factory Escalade harness would not work for everybody trying to do this I had to order a harness to make it work my question is were do the wire do for the tap shift

Damn 7 4l60es i guess i have problem had min out similar number of times but i kept breaking the pump so it was fairly straightforward to repair

Will cross member off a Escalade with a 6l80 swap on the Silverado work
I don’t think it will work believe the crossmember position is different
u think i can do this to a 03 silverado ? truck currently has a 6.0 with a 4l60e and its not liking it lmao
its possible, but its a much more complicated swap than on the 07-09 trucks
