    Your videos have been a pretty big help with my 4L80 swap in my 04 Escalade ESV, turns out the couple things I was overthinking like the crossmember and the segment swap are actually way easier than I was thinking they would be, hopefully I'll have it on the road this weekend.

    Hey Steve. I have been watching these videos since you put them up. Just over and over. I always wanted to do the swap and even though I wasn’t ready I wanted to be educated. Well man I’m here. 4l80e with a 261hd. HP Tuners on deck. Waiting for a few small things and I’ll be swapped. Didn’t have to go 261hd, it was with trans when I bought it. It’s not hard to run it, it’s just more parts which is more money. But that’s besides the point. Thank you Steve for your videos. There’s a lot of videos out there you just put off the correct vibe when you talk. Everything you’ve done has been 100% correct that I’ve done so far. Thanks for taking time to make video and to show everything. This is a great video. I have sent it to many people on the LS swap pages on FB.

    Great video! I like your approach to the transmission crossmember, and it appears you still had room to pull the pan. How much space do you have between the transfer case drain and refill plugs and the torsion bar crossmember? To me, it looks like there's enough room to service the transfer case.

      $2300 trans
      $800 Circle D 3000-3200 Torque Converter with Billet,
      $100+ for the wire harness,
      $100+ for the flexplate
      $100+ for the front drive shaft
      $100 to have rear drive shaft shortened
      $50 trans cooler lines
      Crossmember - Free (but I already owned a welder)
      I already had HP Tuners to do the swap, but this needs to be considered in your budget to either buy it, or have someone do the segment swap for you.
      $100+ ??? NSS, Transfercase adapter, bolts, gaskets, dipstick tube
      And don't forget how expensive all that ATF is.

    Did anybody come here hoping to do this swap in the GMT360 Trailblazer/Envoy trucks? I just had a trans line leak take out my 4l60e in my only vehicle and can't decide what to do... I just bought this vehicle from out of state and didn't put 300 miles on it yet, so a different vehicle is not an option--it's an Envoy XUV 4WD w/77K miles and I had to borrow money from 3 people to pay for it! Anybody think this can be done at a reasonable cost on it? Also, where did you route the trans lines? Did you eliminate the radiator trans cooler or still use it?

    You would not believe how many times I've watched your 4L80e swap videos! I'm almost done swapping a 4l80e into my Hummer H2. I've already done the segment swap, but I keep getting an 1860 code (TCC). I'm not sure if it's a wiring issue, a defective part or an HPTuners issue. The tune was from a matched OS. The transmission was rebuilt, but it still has the original solenoids. Rebuilder said everything tested good. Any ideas? Thanks for unbelievably informative videos!

    • @tuloko16
      @tuloko16 Před 3 lety

      Double check with your transmission rebuilder. It is common practice to get rid of the pwm selenoind for the tcc (what the computer expects) and put an tcc on/tcc off. If it has the tcc on/off selenoid, turn the code off with hp tuners ir similar tuner.
