    • @tekyguy
      @tekyguy  Před 2 lety +7

      It really is amazing! It has the power to weight ration advantage and the PDK lightning fast shifts, as well as more gears! It also has rear wheel steering helping it put down power earlier on the corner exit. It also had CUP2 tires on and I had regular ol Super sports. All that should put it in to perspective. I have driven that exact GT3 at Watkin's Glenn back to back with another GT350 both with Cup 2's and my fastest lap was within .5 of a second of each other. The GT3 was the faster of the two. The GT350 really can compete with a 2015 GT3.

    • @coreyrisolvato5288
      @coreyrisolvato5288 Před 2 lety +6

      This happens often with lighter, but still powerful cars. They rocket away on straights to then be reeled in on the turns. This is how a Miata with race rubber can tackle high-HP cars with inexperienced drivers. Then you have the tire factor. Tires make a bigger difference in circuit speed than nearly any other aspect of a car. Corner speed is king. The difference between the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tire and the Pilot Super Sport amounts to 2-3 seconds/lap on the same car with the same driver on a track with enough turns (Mid-Ohio Club circuit is 15 turns and 2.4 miles). The ability to enter turns faster, maintain that speed throughout and put power down sooner coming out of the turn means everything.
