I always make a build with knives because they use 0 stamina and if you put them together with a hero sword they do like 4-7 damage

best build atm is just getting a bunch of daggers and other cheap stamina weapons and loading up on crit, if you get a stamina potion or 2 you win before the opponent can do anything
or if you're really lucky 2x bows pointing at a hero sword which is buffed by crit rings... your bows will be triggering like crazy and doing extra damage.

2 turns of setup and 4 spaces: it better be good. They technically buffed whelp in this last patch by making its egg reflect twice, giving a little more survivability during hatching.
