  • Exclusive inside and outside cockpit views of a takeoff and departure of a brand new Eurowings Airbus A321 NEO from runway 34 at Corfu / Kerkyra Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport, CFU / LGKR, Greece. Cockpit, pilots, instruments, charts and sidestick views. With cockpit and ATIS (automatic terminal information service) audio. First Officer is pilot flying and Captain pilot monitoring. ATC (air traffic control) callsign is Eurowings 5TH (Eurowings Five Tango Hotel). Commercial flight number: Eurowings EW 9613. Aircraft registration: D-AEEA. Destination airport: Dusseldorf (DUS). Produced with 6 cameras in 4k quality. In the video, you see the captain without a tie. This is not the standard. Reason is that his tie broke before the recording started and he had no spare tie available.

    Hi Captain, I would just like to say thank you for your continued effort in publishing these amazing videos for all of your aviation fans and aspiring pilots.
    They really are a cut above the rest in terms of production quality both visually and audio terms.
    I particularly love your multiple camera angles, especially those of your instruments.
    Please carry on what you are doing, I look forward every week to a new release.

    Hey Captain, once again a great video. I especially appreciated you showing the FIX pages and parts of the SEC flighplan, always a welcome source of information on how to do it in the simulator. Knowing Corfu from MSFS and an incoming flight for a cruise I was especially delighted to see an AIDA cruise ship docked in the harbour, so now I have an impression of how that looks from the air and from the sundeck. NIIIIICE!

      Thank you so much for the good feedback and your support as a member of my channel! We entered a 25 NM circle around GAR. This was for our situational awareness because the MSA in the charts is based on GAR VOR. KRK was just entered as a point for additional awareness. Both are helpful in case of an engine failure or an immediate return.

    Beatiful A21N, alread watched the landing video and it was superb! I'm really curious about the RAD INT switch in the ACP though, so I think it's usually left in the INT position, so the ground crew could hear all the checklsits and communications since it's a hot mike right? Thank you and have a great sunday.

    • @ApproachandDepartureVideos
      @ApproachandDepartureVideos  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for your good feedback! As long as the interphone is switched on, both pilots and the ground crew hear each other in the headsets. Yes, in this case the ground crew also hears our checklists ….. Most of the time, we switch it to a hot mike after the ground crew has left and use just the push to talk button to talk with them during the pushback. Have a nice day!

      @ApproachandDepartureVideos  Před 7 měsíci

      Thanks for your great feedback! Yes, I like the IAE engines. They usually provide a good climb performance. I like the A320 NEO and the A321 NEO more because the performance is even better. It climbs very good, needs way less fuel and provides less emissions. And it is less noisy.

    hi there CAPT thanks for your well explained flight video!! I just got a question come up these days! when you're in a serious crosswind condition then does the ATC give you guys a ILS approach clearance? or doesn't it matter with wind condition? cuz in a serious crosswind case it's really hard to be on the centerline axis while taking the RNAV or VOR( I believe you guys usually take visual reference the most which is for lateral control) also if you really have to land with the RNAV or VOR then how do you put the fuselage on the centerline?? I mean what's your specific reference? hope I can get answers from you sir! always feel grateful towards you!! take care!

    • @ApproachandDepartureVideos
      @ApproachandDepartureVideos  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching and your question! The approach type does not really matter when we talk about crosswind. We have to stay on track. We do this with appropriate inputs with the sidestick. If the flightdirector is on, it shows us how to correct. Moments before the touchdown, we use the rudder to align the plane axis with the runway axis. If the centerline of the runway tracks between your legs, the result won't be bad. To make it easy, you just have to remember how it looks during the initial takeoff roll. The picture in regard to the centerline would be similar.
