I’m not non binary or even LGBTQIA+ or anything like that, and like you said while I can’t relate to Nemo personally the passion of the song and the meaning behind it is so powerful and it really, really comes across in the passion and the performance and that is why I love this song so much is not only the fact that it is clearly the best song musically with pitch and rhythm or best performance with staging or best most talented artist which it is all of those things too but the passion and the meaning and the messaging is so strong and I love that part of it so much too it’s so perfect it’s so amazing. Marijuana really made me fall in love with this song.
The way the D&B base and piano are combined with opera in this composition is amazing. It's like God composed this song. But the perfection of Nemo singing the song, as if they were one. Nemo's 10 in technique, voice, interpretation and transmission of emotions.
I also really like the musical reference to League of Legends (minute 1.54 to 2.16)
the reference to jamiroquai in the rap part of the video clip.
The reference to the matrix, to the code, and in the grand finale when he dodges bullets like Neo (minute 2.55 to 3.01).
The musical reference to James Bond at minute 2.20 to 2.40. This part is very intense and epic, what a climax.
The work on the choruses is the best of the entire song, it's worth listening to it again just to pay attention to the choruses.
And finally, the message of hope, faith and good energy that the song transmits is very worthy.

This performance is a great piece of art and it touched me in a way as Bohemian Rhapsody from Queen long years ago. The singer is an extraordinary artist and I'm glad he won that competition.

The song doesn't give you the high note aside from teasing it at the start and reaching the top to get that again... it's one of the biggest songs in recent times... from a talent who is talented in multiple... theater involved.

Europapa was a more eurovision song but with him being unrightfully dq'ed Nemo had the best song out of the rest and his high notes and vocals were something else.

Juryvision... 1997-2009 when there was no jury votes and only people decided the winner was the best era, just look at the winning songs from that era, amazing songs from different genres and countries.

Actually this is a sligthty naive memory, if you ask me. Every single year people complained like crazy that the wrong song won. Also only in the last two years the jury's favourite won. In the past 8 years otherwise the audience got their winner, or the winner was neither voting's first choice. The problem is that people will never be happy!

Nemo was ok but in no case he was better than the Croatian dude. Not to mention the way he won was extremely controversial with how biased the jury was. No way in hell you're convincing anyone that between the top two countries who contested the second didn't get a single 12 among the entire jury.
The performance by Croatia was simply insane. I'd be totally ok if Nemo had won and his votes from jury and televote were somewhat more evenly distributed but in no case what happened is reasonable.
Nemo in fact WAS better than everyone else …

Don't get me wrong, I liked Croatia too (and many more).
Regarding the votes, doesn't matter if it's jury or televotes: There will always be a debate regarding that."it's corrupt" "it's political". This year is no corruption imo, Nemo had a strong song, strong performance and a powerful meaning that felt real. And no, Nemos genre is not my favorite, but I felt his passion in the song with the lyrics, staging and vocals.

Even if we agree that he is the better vocalist his song and scene presence were way more inferior to what Croatia brought. I don't even really watch Eurovision but Croatia was really insane and you could even spot the difference from the crowd reactions.
Now as i said my issue is not so much that Nemo won but how he won. It's just super fishy considering how the voting went.
I don't get this take, not only is it wrong, croatia got two 12s from the jury (Serbia and Cyprus), so did others. It also ignores much of the context of why such jury dominance could occur. The main vocal competitor France had their voice crack in the jury performance and the Netherlands got a DQ. I don't think the netherlands would have gotten particularly many 12 points as it suffers from similar issues to croatia but it might have swung some of the jury more inclined to vote for the popular show rather than an artistic one.
Croatia's song was 75% on a single note. It was to be expected that the jury would not take that particularly well. It was a banger beat and amazing show but required comparatively little vocal abilities. Additionally because the other Song vying for the largest televote got DQ'd it likely boosted croatia's televote numbers quite significantly making it likely closer than it would have otherwise been.
Croatia was like any other song in this genre and not special at all. In comparison to Nemo with their extraordinary vocal reach and flexibility, I think it's objectively the most realistic thing that Nemo won.
