Making some Cowboy Coffee on the last day of a hot and stormy campout. Tastes delicious and super simple to make. #coffee #camping #cowboycooking #campfirecooking
I don't drink coffee, but I've seen the Camp Coffee or Cowboy Coffee made enough to give a couple of tips. My dad used an old V8 can while camping. He would drop a cracked egg into the pot near the end. I've also seen it where he would pour cold water over the top to knock down the grounds. With your set up and the holes in lid, you could use that to filter out the grounds.
All great ideas. I have seen the cold water before and watched a youtube with the egg. I will have to try those sometime. I thought about filtering it while pouring, but wanted to see how much grounds I would get in my cup. Surprisingly, there was just a little fine grounds in the very bottom and they did not make it into any of my sips. I just dumped out the last sip before pouring another cup. Thanks for the suggestions and for watching.
I enjoy your videos. I tried your cowboy coffee. Mine was a little strong. You put 2 scoops for 20oz of water. My coffee says put 2 round table spoons per 6oz of water. Mine boiled over. What size is your scoop?
I can't find the exact measurement of the scoop I use. I found it on Amazon listed as a coffee or tea scoop. It appears to be between one and two teaspoons (probably closer to two) I did not have any issues with boiling over and the coffee was perfect for my taste. I do prefer a strong cup of coffee. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I always enjoy a good brew of cowboy coffee ☕. Smoothest coffee in my opinion.
Looks like a WWII canteen cup, nice.
Gonna have to try making coffee like that, kinda like a french press without the strainer.
No need to stir it. And let it sit…grounds settle to bottom. Easy and delicious coffee
I love coffee and your videos! Great job brother!
Great stuff, Ty for sharing
Good stuff brother. Thanks for the video
STIR IT!
