To help prevent hot cooker or canteen cup handles, locate the handles on the UPWIND side of the fire. Then they have a cooling breeze on them. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
When I’m heating water for food, I heat an extra cup for tea. Relaxing to sip it while the food hydrates itself. AND, drinking tea is (1) easier than making coffee, plus (2) I look so scholarly while drinking tea! 😏 Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
I have the original Adventure set. I will be getting this new one. One thing I have yet to find is a good Stainless Steel Pot or Cup that will nest on the Kleen Kanteen Single Wall Stainless Wide Mouth 64oz Water Bottles. I have two 64oz bottles and two Maxpedition 12" x 5" large water bottle pouches. I just need a pot to nest on the 64oz bottle and fit in the Maxpedition Pouch. Ideally, to be able to fit two pots (top and bottom) over one water bottle and still fit it all in the pouch. Handles on the pot is not necessary but would be nice.
I dunno, I quit scrubbing the outside of my pots , when I heard Mors kohanski say let ‘em blacken up, they’ll coolkfaster , or boil water faster, with the black absorbing the heat,it made sense I thought. 😊
I fold the top of the Big Sky insulated pouch into a cuff before placing the dry meal inside. The flap protects my hand when I add the boiling water to the meal pouch.
Love that the Wildfare cookset is 32 oz, and the classic two-cup is 24 oz. The larger Stanley is awesome. Neat Keto meals. The plastic cups are both rated for 10 oz, but the new grey cups are maybe 0.5 oz more.
Does that set have those cool green cups? I love those cups..Mine from the original set have disappeared awhile back....never mind...i found the video of the set
The aluminum barrier is a good idea with the fire dragon tabs. They will run out and burn as they go… I took a BCB stove and folded the inner walls down flat. This allows you to use it as a stand for an alcohol stove, twig fire, or esbit tabs. I use the Evernew titanium stove with cross bars. Folded up like you have here is probably the most stable platform for my original Stanley pot. Really interested in the new design. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks. I have been really happy with the BCB Fire Dragon. My only concern was bumping the stove or table and having the liquified gel fuel spill out. It hasn’t happened yet, thankfully. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Easy clean any cook set...WET SAND!!! THATS RIGHT..MUD! RUB LIGHTLY WITH BARE HAND...OR A PIECE OF MOSS....rinse n dry..NO SCRUBBY..SOAP ETC. NON SCRATCH AS LONG AS NO ROCKS... SHINY CLEAN...BEEN DOING IT FOR YEARS.... ...COURTESY DAVE CANTERBURY.
Great question. I purchased all my bandanas from OHSAY USA (they have an Amazon store). They are American Heritage Cotton Bandanas - Made in USA - Sold by Vets. a.co/d/huHpsux
Good morning from the Great State of Texas. Maybe I missed it, but what brand of meal did you eat and where did you get this meal? Thank you and have a good day
That is a dehydrated meal from My Hunny’s Kitchen. They are a small company in Missouri that makes some really great meals. My Hunny’s Kitchen myhunnys.com/?ref=byoutdoors 5% Off Discount Code: MHK24
These are freeze dried meals that have a shelf life of up to 25 years. We make everything from scratch and don't add any extra preservatives. We work hard to ensure the flavors and textures are top notch. @@BarnYardOutdoors
OBSERVATION...95% of YTers give discounts provided by the company they sponsor and most are 5%. 5% is nothing. 5% doesnt even cover sales tax and their 50% mark up is still in play. Can you get us a 15 or 25% off?
We are a small company in the process of growing. If you were to place a large order...then a bigger discount can be applied. For that I would encourage you to contact us directly
I really wanted to like your channel but the first 2 videos were of you opening boxes and reviewing a product you didn't use, and this video is of you boiling water. This channel is a big fail for new subscribers. Maybe stop taking those free products until you will use them. I know somewhere in your house is a room full of free stuff.

Yeah, he basically puts out these videos to try to get us to buy a bunch of useless garbage rather than getting to the point of the video

Being just a bit bigger the new pot sits a little more stable on the fire dragon and esbit stoves. Thanks!
Love that "Big Sky" insulated sack. Those big fluffy clouds are gorgeous; what a great day you had. Broccoli Chicken sounds delicious.

Cool vid...just a thought, the haversack, stove, Big Sky pouch all look cool. Links in description maybe?? Thanks
Which size Big Sky bag is that? Great video!
It is the Medium Size.
You never mentioned what brand of bandanna you have your stove wrapped in.
Great question. I purchased all my bandanas from OHSAY USA (they have an Amazon store). They are American Heritage Cotton Bandanas - Made in USA - Sold by Vets. a.co/d/huHpsux
Thank for sharing. Did you do a video on that haversack?
Not yet, I am still putting it through some testing, but so far I really like it and I will be doing a review in the future.
What size Big Sky pouch?
It is the medium size. 10 x 10 inches.
I was hoping this was a review of the cook set not the food. My bad for thinking such a silly thing.
Here is the review. czcams.com/video/Jmcm-SWucqs/video.htmlsi=LOEE8zV-OGssmXis

Yea, if it has broccoli I will simply not buy it….
Great review appreciate all you do, however a 5% discount doesn’t convince me to buy from them…
