I have never heard of the meal brand before but I will check them out. We do a lot of our own dehydrating for camping meals but always find it nice to add some variety!

Using the thermal pouch while it hydrates....smart!!! First I've heard or seen it. Can you share where it came from?
I use one made by Big Sky International. Been using the medium sized for years and it works great, especially in cold weather.
