What I don't get is they removed 170+ episodes from the JRE library but none of them were the controversial recent episodes with the doctors, who turned out to be more right than MSM btw, oops. It's weird.

Gatekeeping and cancellation are consistent actions to these vermin.
They want to be allowed into any and every aspect of your life, and to hold the threat of cancellation over you for any perceived transgression; all in the name of the greater good.
Honestly, firing these scum is not punishment enough and a hard, red line needs to be drawn or nothing changes.

Like repercussions for what you say and do? Nobody has been arrested for saying what they want to say but they have seen that their ideas aren't as popular as maybe they thought.
I keep trying to explain this line of reasoning to my political friends and they, do, not, want, to, admit, this. Thank you for actually saying this. It's freaking awful.

Man you do such amazingly good work Richard. My girlfriend is far from a moron but she's easily influenced at times, obviously she's been fed mainstream narratives her whole life.
Through your videos I've been able to slowly expose some of it for her and she's gotten a lot better at spotting fake shit and obvious attacks.
I say this to say your work MATTERS SO MUCH Rich. It opens people's eyes when you lay out all the facts with the sources to back them and present them as in a way that doesn't shit on their intelligence. And without saying anybody is a secret demon cabal helps too xD just explaining why these things are problematic and the way they are abused.
You are one of the best of our time and I'm forever grateful for somebody bringing the facts of these cases to light.
The speech you had around the 36 minute mark about doing bad things and growing from them, but fearing their repercussions today is super relatable. In my past I've done some utterly heinous shit. And I've grown as a person, and the person that did those things isn't who I am anymore. The guilt of who I used to be and what I used to say still haunts me. I want to get into content creation and such, but the fear of the people who knew me from those days or the people I hurt coming for me causes me to second guess myself everytime. So hearing you say this actually was very reassuring that someone else, especially someone in your position understands what I feel. Thank you Richard, I love your content and thank you for putting that statement out there. It was very comforting. Best of luck to you!
I've been echoing the same sentiments for some time now. Having been born in the 80's I really hold that time in a high regard. It was a time where you could still live, love, laugh. Now everything is dreary, gray. People cannot express their feelings anymore without having to look over their shoulders constantly to see if they're the next target for something they said in a long forgotten past where people were still forgiving. Now everything you do gets put through a magnifiying glass. The magnifiying glass of Inquisition wielded by the bitter and soulless claiming to be the weapon of righteousness while torching everything in their path until nothing but ash is left only to look back in digust when the realisation kicks in when they see the destruction they wrought.
I fear for my kid who has to grow into a solid human being in this day and age, not being allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. We can as parents only do so much to protect them from the harshness of reality but at the end of the day they need to be allowed to live in the world, not having to worry every step of the way about what they should or should not do. It's not healthy. Lets hope we can go back to more normal times. Lets hope.

How can the media landscape even recover?
Had to come back here, cuz I had a friend trying to convince me that journalists wouldn't work together, because "they're actually in competition for your views and that would undermine their views and money". I don't think people realize that beyond a certain point, these folks only care about money in the context of the power it grants, and you can just skip straight to having the power if you work together.

Personally i think short of a violent uprising and purge, western culture is terminally ill and fated to consume itself, infected by progressivism and egalitarian thought. Both concepts that, like communism, cannot function in reality, but seem feasible enough that they're tried until collapse.

My buddy was fined $50 and given 2 days of in-school suspension for showing the same "ok"/"gotcha" sign during his school sports yearbook team picture. They claimed to be using the money towards editing out the hand gesture due to its negative implications. They proceeded to crop that section of the image out since he was on the bottom row... A fucking 4 year old could have done a better job in paint.
I wonder if these delusional would start screaming if they ever saw the bar scene from Inglorious Bastards. My personal favorite parallel to the insane scrutiny the hand signal for 3 is put under.

I'm so late to this video, but I instantly was thinking about Socrates who was convicted of corrupting Athenian youth by teaching them to think. Socrates wasn't the villain, but he drank that hemlock despite his followers trying to smuggle him away from his home. He stood for something to his very death, and accepted the consequences of his actions even if he didn't do anything truly evil. I wonder if we can have his ideals in this day and age.

11:36 its actually pretty common in finance and economic circles to say some(not weimar levels) inflation is good, it means things like debt, be it personal or government doesn't ballon out of control, as in the case of deflation

The Federal Reserve aims for a 2% inflation rate, and today the US inflation rate is 7.5% (though its that's probably and understatement of the effective rate people are feeling, as some things like house prices are not included in inflation). I was trying to point out that that journalists didn't pull the idea out of thin air. That doesn't really matter though, since your point was that that journalists were saying current inflation (which is definitively bad) is good.
Side note, thanks for all the good content you put out there, be it political or cs related. It's always refreshing to hear your position on the state of the world.
