Hair transplant is done in case you have baldness-not thinning of hair. Therefore it is not a good idea to increase hair density through a hair transplant. The neighboring thinning hairs affected by genetic baldness will not be able to withstand the injury of hair transplant that will decrease their blood supply further and make matters worse.
How many grafts do you recommend for grade 3 baldness.. some clinics are saying 3000 and some are advising 2000. I am confused
Sir, there is no ready reckoner for grade of baldness and graft requirement.
Grafts will depend on your donor area, your goals and objectives where the hairline is placed, whether temple points and crown are being restored as well in grade 3 pattern, the density of plantation and graft wastage (transection rate) of that clinic.
