- Mike Harvey shows you his Colt 1911 which formerly belonged to Jim Flournoy, High Sheriff of Fayette County during the height of La Grange's Chicken Ranch. Flournoy, La Grange, and the Chicken Ranch all achieved great fame after Larry L. King's book, the film starring Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton, and the song by ZZ Top all shone a nostalgic light on the infamous house of sin. Enjoy!
Yes, please make a replica! Thank you for sharing this 1911. Beautiful.
The best semi automatic pistol the world has even known
love these stories! My accumulation of Cimarron firearms is growing like a wet gremlin!
Don't feed them after midnight!!
It's so awesome when a firearm has a story behind its history and becomes a conversation piece and a piece of history not only to increase in respect and admiration but in value also , beautiful 1911 and thank you for sharing it and the story behind with us ! Its awesome
I remember that old movie
Mike, keep these stories coming! I love history and everyone of these old guns have a story....Looking forward to the next one:)
Love the story’s on the guns. I’ll be in Fredericksburg on vacation at the end of this month. Definitely stoping by the gun shop to say hi and maybe pick up another Cimarron SAA to put in my collection. 🇺🇸🤠
Thanks. Just make sure you're coming to Texas Jack's and not Cimarron's office because we don't allow visitors. Texas Jack's is our official showroom right off the main street in Fredericksburg. Thanks!!
@@cimarronFA Yes sir Texas Jack’s I’ve been there several times. 👍🤠
A good story and good video. Thanks
I'm with Richard Gower. Love your stories, especially if there might be a little windy in there. Haha. Thank you for sharing your collection with us!
Now that’s just cool. Glad it worked out for you and you know it’s history.
Another awesome video!
Thanks what a great story thanks for sharing.
thanks Mike, enjoyed the history lesson, just bought one of your 1866 Yellowboy, 44-40, sporting rifle.
Take the firing pin plate off and look on the back of the slide to see if the original serial number is still there.
Love these videos, thank you for such great content as well as great firearms.
... still waiting on that repro , of course I probably won't be able to afford to one ... unless it's made in the Philippines or Turkey ...
Mike, I know I say this every time. You have the best dang gun stories EVER !! What a cool 1911 and story to go with it.
Question : I have seen the new Tuco model pistol out amongst the dealers but it's not on your website. What gives? It's a very nice looking reproduction. I also hear there is going to be an Angle Eyes '58 Remington to go with it. True? Thanks again for the stories.
Tuco and Angel Eyes are about to start rolling in. They will be available on our website then. Thanks!
@@cimarronFA Thanks for the info.
~ When will the replicas be available??????
Not anytime soon. No plans at the moment. Thanks!
He really should have had that number put on the side of it by a quality engraver.......looks like he did it himself.
Do you remember my old friend Bill Coffee? I think we visited your shop in the early 1980s.
I have been trying to get me one of these. They say COVID has halted production
"they" say a lot of things. Truth is, we are still getting them in slowly but surely. Thanks!
Yeee ha nice
Jim Flournoy is turning over in his grave with those pearl grips. I quote Gen W.W. Sterling "Only a pimp in a New Orleans whore house yould have perald grips on a gun" when he asked the Sheriff about the grips on a single action he was carrying, and I was there..
Please take those damn things OFF please.
