I realize this is a few years old but this is a great tutorial. Also--you don't need to explain yourself to naysayers---your videos are great and addresses a very unique problem for a lot of women. I love watching makeup tutorials but none of them but yours have actually been useful for my hooded eyes. Thank you for your work!

First off let me say, I don't think you have given hooded eyes a bad name, rather, you have brought them to the forfront and showed us ways of showcasing them and making the most of them with your excellent techniques. Your tutorials have helped many of us not dread makeup anymore because our eyes are not the same and we have to find a different method of application. You have shown us that not only is that possible but our eyes can look very beautiful and this video is no different! Great tips, great techniques and just all around good advice! Thank you so much, once again for sharing your knowledge with us!

I can't even begin to tell you Nisha, how valuable you have been to me to deal with my hooded eyes, especially as they have changed as I age. Please, please, please don't let anyone tell you to change what you're doing with regards to hooded eyes because you share the exact information I need and I am so grateful. Thank you a million times for your videos! I am completely addicted to them and you're the first person I turn to when I want a new look or need help with something!

Giving hooded eyes a bad name? Hahaha thats pretty hard to do, its not like they are a good thing. I have hooded eyes pretty much the same as you, and frankly I agree with you watch a nineteen year olds tutorial and see how that works out for you... not a good look so from a 41 year old hooded eye gal... THANK YOU for all your wonderful tutorials and keep staying true to you!

I was a teenager and had hooded eyes. I'm 28 now and still have to live with them. They get worse as you age. Mine are genetic not just from aging. It sucks watching girls in the same age bracket do their makeup and when I'd do it, it looked nothing like theirs. However then I learned the joy of the cut crease from watching asian girls do their makeup. That with the combination of doing eyeliner a certain way you can get around the hood problem. You have to adjust the tutorial to make it work on a hood.

Hallelujah, FINALLY a clear explanation on how to create winged eyeliner!! I am a 62 year old who has hooded eyes and had all but given up on trying to get a winged eye look to uplift my eye area. THANK YOU so much for making your tutorial not only a visual that is easy to follow, but also your explanations were clear. LOVE your tips and tricks and am looking forward to trying this once I go out and get my felt tip eyeliner. Also watched your hair products video and the updated one using the Matrix Biolage Shampoo, I have always colored my hair and always kept it short because it is very fine. I am trying to grow it out to your length of hair but need to find a voluminous shampoo/conditioner. Also have colored my hair back to it's more natural color since I am trying to grow it out (more brunette but keeping the caramel colored highlights. It keeps the gray from showing up so much on grow outs!) :) Do you have any videos reviewing the NYX Soft Matte lip cream?? I have a huge problem finding lipsticks that don't bleed out through the creases in my lips. I DO exfoliate my lips and have tried every high end lipstick available. Finally came across these NYX Soft Matte lip creams.. LOVE these!! Just wish they had more colors to choose from. Know any others that work as well as these for women who have the same lip bleeding problems?? Thanks! LOVE your channel by the way!

Can't tell you how happy I am to have come across your videos! Someone over forty that actually has hooded eyes! I didn't even realize my poor hoods had started falling, I just thought I couldn't do my makeup very well anymore! Wayne Goss is the the one that made me realize what was going on, but finding a video by someone who actually has hooded eyes is such a relief. Now I will change the way I do my makeup and hopefully it will look as great at it did when I was younger! Thank you so much!😊

wow. thank you so, so much for addressing those of us who have hooded eyes. i have several youtube makeup gurus that i watch and i do love the looks they demonstrate, but it is essentially impossible to get the same winged eyeliner look as they do with my hooded eyes. very, very, very frustrating. it is so helpful to see you addressing this issue and helping us by giving tips on ways we can try to still achieve a version of winged eyeliner that looks nice. it is also amazing to hear someone describe the broken wing issue that we hooded ones deal with!!!! sigh! thanks so much!

I don't think you give hooded eyes a bad name. I have struggled with them my whole life doing makeup..well specifically shadow and liner, not necessarily mascara. And yet I love my hooded eyes. I look at my eyes and I am reminded of all my relatives from Eastern Europe! My Dad's Polish side my Mom's Ukrainian side..this is not uncommon there! So yes they can be romantic or like "bedroom eyes" as my Mama always said, but they def are challenging when attempting to do certain makeup looks. You have some of the prettiest eyes out there Nisha, and all the hooded eye tutorials are why I subbed initially. Ironically with all your wig reviews that I never needed before..... I now have autoimmune issues AND I am on Tamoxifen, so I have eyelash loss and hair loss now, and all the wig videos are very useful too! 💗🙏🌺

Thanks for the tips, you are so talented Nisha!! When I don't have much time, I like to take a pencil liner (UD 24/7 are the best, smudge proof!!) and drag it along the top lash line and out instead of up "underneath" the fold (more cat-eye like as you said), goes super-quick and doesn't have to be too precise!! xx

when i was a youngster, i had no idea about eyelid (for the lack of a better word) categories. now that i'm aware of what's going on, i've noticed the differences. there are plenty celebrities (young and old) that are mostly hooded. all that to say, there is no norm when it comes to eyelids (if that makes any sense). we've just got to work with what we've got. it's like having thighs that touch no matter how skinny we are. (hope you know what i mean). LOL, no gap thighs, no crease eyelids, it is what it is! that's why i greatly appreciate your tutorials, which provide exceptional insight. from one hoodie to another, thanks!

I have not been able to do a wing liner in so long so I will have to give these tips a try. The crepey eyes sure makes it a challenge as well so we will see what happens. Thank you so much for sharing! xo Carolyn

Oh my, I needed this video! You've helped me so much with my hooded eyes. I'm nearly 45 and they are getting harder to work with. I find that it's harder for me to sit and practice these new techniques as I did when I was younger. I really struggle to have the patience required to get it perfect. Maybe I have ADHD? If it weren't for your videos I might have given up entirely! Thank you so much! I must say I think you are just a doll, so pretty and sweet! I love your accent too, you are easy to listen to. 😊😘🤗

I appreciate this video sooo much. I felt like I was the only one with eyes like this, but this video related the issues of hooded eyes so well! And the instruction is nicely detailed, I feel like I can try a couple of these ideas. I don't feel like you are knocking hooded eyes at all, you're just being realistic! Thank you!

I am amazed to see how far back to the end you hold the brush. You have a very steady hand. I can never do that. I don't know if it has anything to do with me being badly shortsided but when putting my eyeliner I practically hold my brush very close to the base as if it was a pencil.

I want to thank you so much for your video's, because of you I like putting on makeup. I didn't think I could ever put it on the right way. I looked at so many other video's and could never get the makeup to look right and stopped trying.
Then I bumped into one of your video's and I have started wearing makeup again getting better with every video.
