LOL! I said the same about holding your lid up… people always say don't do it because it'll cause wrinkles, but we hoodies know you can't do makeup without the "lift". Very good tutorial! xo

I've just found your channel and I love it! I'm binge watching the tutorials like it's Netflix. I'm so glad to see a channel for mature women that shows more dramatic and visible makeup. I'm so tired of watching videos that show me how to just fade into the background like a movie extra and simply look nice. Your channel shows me how to look beautiful and glamorous like the star instead of an extra. Thank you!

For the first time in my life I understand how to make MY eyes look good and why trying to copy make up of 'non hoody' models in magazines has never worked for me! I didn't even really know I had hooded eyes until now - knowledge is power! Thanks again, I'm now a big fan, keep up the good work! Xxx

Great tutorial. You're so down to earth, so likeable, and your tips are easy to follow. After having a 'young' stroke at 43, my eyelids very suddenly became droopy and very hooded. I struggled to cope with this change in eye shape, and your videos have been great , not only for showing techniques, but for helping me regain confidence in my 'new' face after the stroke. Thank you so much, you'll never know how much you've helped :) xx

It's been a long time since your post, I hope you are still doing very well. I hope you know with or without makeup you are BEAUTIFUL because nothing is as powerful as the beauty of a survivor! My mom is one year post-stroke, she is 55 yrs old and had a massive hemmorhagic stroke in the thalamic portion of her brain. We are lucky she survived at all. She's finally home now after over 6 months in a nursing facility and her hair has grown back from them shaving it to insert drain tubes, etc-which really bothered her because she's a beautician. But... She has trouble talking and sometimes has bad days where she thinks my grandmother is still alive or takes all her clothes off and tries to go outside. My dad is an asshole and has basically given up on her and both he and my sister think that mentally she has the mind of a child. I can't give up on her, I know she's in there still whether or not she has bad days or can talk clearly all the time. Thank you for sharing that you're a survivor...I always derive more hope from people like you. God bless you.

I like seeing the difference with the way you did each eye. I often use one shade all over, but never blend that way. Even without eyeliner on yet, the mascara just made your eyes stand out. Thank you for the tutorial, you are beautiful and so kind to share your knowledge with us. My hooded eyes are all the way across from weight loss and now with age the skin is crepe-y so it has been very discouraging trying to learn how to deal with them. Your instruction on creating a crease may help, I will try it!

Wonderful video! I always wondered why I did my eyes like this and was in denial about having a hooded eye. But I think your video shows you can still have beautiful even if they are not deep set anymore. Totally blogging your video!

You are very good!! I do not have hooded lids, but I like how you explain finding lines or in this case the crease. I thought you said you are not a make-up artist, but you should be. I really saw a big difference. Thank you for making me want to figure things out on my own.

Great tutorial Nisha! I thought my crease was my socket! I always watch your hooded eye tutorials with a mirror, makeup brushes & a matte neutral eyeshadow palette next to me & I'm going along with you -- you're a natural born teacher. Thanks for all of your tips, they're very helpful.
    Take care... ♥ Susanne ツ

Hi Nisha! You made this video so long ago, and have watched all of your newer video’s. but I saw this one and thought I would watch as I am much older than you my dear as I have much more hooded eyes than you do, but like eyeshadow and sometimes struggle to get your look. Well, I wanted to thank you as you have simplified doing it correctly for me. A gain, thank you so much. I am a subscriber and enjoy all of your videos and will wait for your next one. xo
