      Would be nice to have the oil filter position moved.

    There are 2 more grease fittings on the rear break bands. Remove the rear wheels and you will see them, (if it's the same as my Tiger cat...)

    Watched 2 vids of oil changes on the Tiger Cats. Looks like the mowers have never been used. Unless these guys detail, and I mean detail the mowers after each use. Mowing several acres all the time, I can clean mine all up, but you can still tell I have a used mower. Those look new ;-)

    I like to get the factory fill out of there! Then I will go to 50hr intervals probably.

    Lift your seat reach from that side oil filter is much easier

    You just missed the Castor Wheel Pivot grease points. You have to remove the plugs and install your own grease zerks. Per the owner's manual, just every 500hrs/1yr.

    When my tiger cat kohler blew up at 4848 hours , my dealer couldn't fix it , he didn't know what was wrong with it ,he threw a bunch of parts in it and told me to run it wide open , he couldn't get a throttle body from his suppliers , I put it on the trailer and it ran worse than when I dropped it of , that cost me a grand ..but I had to have a good mower , nobody had a turf tiger near me , so I bought the tiger cat 2 with a yamaha motor, carburetor..because I was curious how the yamaha motors did ...time will tell ..
    But it was like going from a Cadillac to Kia...I dont really like the new mower , flat tire first night I brought it home ..that pretty much blew the wind out of my sales...then the hurricane flooded me , that finished me off ...

      You talking about the weights? It is a counter weight for the rear bagging system.

    Your T Cat II has a few more options then my T Cat, it has 12 hours on it now, how often would you suggest packing those grease fittings, Thanks.

      I think manual recommends every 8-10 hours.

      I’ve been running every kind of equipment from a 300Tn Cranes to a Woods Mower for 70 years and one thing has remained true, parts are expensive. Grease isn’t. Grease it, a lot.😬

    Why not tilt the seat forward to acess the oil filter?

    • @nsbconstruction9698

    You used heavy duty diesel oil in a gas engine?

    • @nsbconstruction9698
      @nsbconstruction9698  Před 3 měsíci

      40 weight is 40 weight the diesel oil name is a marketing gimmick

    Ok - I’m a non-mechanical older woman. I didn’t see where you add the oil ! That would have been very helpful !

      Its the yellow cap, usually behind the seat. Will have the oil symbol on it.

      I just get the hour glass I think for service. Mines not fuel injected so there arent any sensors for the engine.

  • @coreysewell14
    @coreysewell14 Před 3 lety

    I know this comment is well after your service! But please stop using oil designed for liquid cooled engines. These air cooled engines run up to 200 degrees hotter and aren’t designed to run that kind of oil. Mower oil has zinc in it keeps it from breaking down from the added heat.
