Aside from a PS5 and a Switch, I also have a 1K PC, which plays most AAA games better than any console, although only at 1080p, because that's the resolution of my monitor (it's got 165 Hz G-sync though). However, there isn't any Xbox game I'm interested in playing. Wait, does Scorn count as an Xbox game?

the thing is the company that ports it nexsus said they only bother doing it for games that are made for the ps5 thats why you wont see them make something like jak 1 or any ps2/3 titles if they ever make a bloodborn port it would be a port of the bloodborn remake like the deamon souls remake which was leaked to also have a pc port

Yea I'm not sure what took Sony so damm long to collaborate with PC.. probably because Microsoft owns Windows so they obviously wouldn't want Windows PCs having ps games because a Windows gaming PC paired with gamepass is pretty much a beefed up Xbox... since micro makes money off Sony putting their games on Windows.

It's usually setting up the controls to get it to work on councils more so than anything else. I've noticed that a lot of games that tend to come out on console.Release the controller update at the same time for the p c version of the game.

I was dumb enough to buy a PS5 and after playing Ghost of Tsushima on it. It just reminded me of why I mainly play on PC.. Yea, the game looks good on the PS5..but those fool don't give you an option to turn off motion blur.. and this isn't some motion blur set to low.. that mofo is aggressive. I was getting motion sickness with every camera turn...the PC port will 100% let you turn it off. They know PC gamers don't play that shit

Also, I'm still getting an Xbox Series X, and I'll play on both Xbox and PC cause I have old physical Xbox 360 discs that I still want to play, and I'm too lazy to learn how to do all things to play them on PC.

I have been playing Helldivers 2 day 1 on PC for $40 with no additional online charges. The funny part is the PS5 players are constantly being dropped from the servers.

Personally, having enjoyed Ghost Of Tsushima on my PS5, I look forward to playing it again in all of it's visual glory over on PC. I see no problem with any PS title going over to PC whatsoever.
This is the reason I like Alex. He is not like the hardcore PC Master Race guy that looks down on Console users, but just the ones that tote their Console as the greatest thing that ever existed, when in fact they are several generations behind PC, and respectfully accepts that other people have their tastes and can just enjoy games for being games, rather than focusing on the tribalism and tearing down the other and such as long as they have an IQ above room temperature and such. I have both an Series X and PS5 (only download games from PS5, so not paying for any online play there, especially no need when I'm already paying for Gamepass with Xbox) and certainly enjoy them. I play the games just to have fun and not compare frames and graphics because, honestly, I would never even notice a difference (unless it is laughable bad and stuttering) unless you showed two images side by side of each other. I honestly hope these changes will make the Pony tryhards die out and leave behind just gamers that enjoy gaming, as it should be, no matter what the method of gaming turns out to be.

it failed because the marketing and initial approach was a complete mess at the time. But with the introduction of the Deck, Valve has shown they get it now.
and you have to understand two things:
1. The general casual public will not and do not want deal or know about specs, graphics cards, drivers, fps, etc... they just want to plug and play, so introducing at least to tears of a plug and play PC would be perfect, just like the Deck, which proved to be a success.
2. Back then the console and PC market were very different, and very different markets, another reason why the Steam Machine Concept failed. But lately they are looking too much alike and gamers are starting to favor PC over consoles.

Now imagine if they figure out a way, that the deck actually uses better hardware when docked, that is build into the docking station. That would be straight up awesome af

Xbox saw this years ago and everybody said Xbox was dead. They had to ignore haters to basically keep Xbox division alive. And I love my series x.and series s but i invested in PC instead of getting PS5 whereas I used to get all consoles .going forward I'll upgrade PC and maybe get next Xbox console/ handheld and/or switch 2. Never buying PlayStation again.
I know PlayStation is popular but it's the most pointless console at this point. At least with my Xbox consoles i can jump between them and my PC with ease. Plus I have 4 kids and Xbox just makes it easy for us to cross play with many PC games imo.
The play anywhere feature is really nice. Of you got that with Steam, it would be game over.

the launcher can very well come. On steam you still use the Ubisoft Connect or now also the Take2 launcher etc.

I once saw a video that explained how large companies can only have no growth or just stagnant growth.
Like if you have 6 million people and 5 million bought it, thats 5 million sales, but the thing is that non of the people will likely buy it a second time, so they can only hope for the 1 million to have some that will buy it, but it will be extremely stagnant.
But if you introduce it to somewhere else, the chance of it being bought again or being the first purchase is now much higher then before.
In short: exclusive titels don't mean much, if they already reached their peek or something like that

The true console wars ended in 2006. That's when both Xbox and Playstatation consoles were basically putting out the same level of graphics. There is no reason to buy a console anymore. Especially with emulators out there, you can play anything from any console without dumping the money into an obsolete hunk of plastic and silicon.

Hmm I was actually planning to transfer my old PC into a Linux machine. Probably with Ubuntu or Arch Linux but couldn't find the time to do so.
I am getting used to Linux stuff from more and more so it shouldn't be that much of an issue and I heard that there are actually a lot of games working on Linux by now.
Proton build inside Steam plays more games OUT OF THE BOX than Windows if compared ALL the games.

I actually already started shifting my PlayStation games over to PC a couple of months ago. (It's only 32 games. It's not that many.) All of the PlayStation games that I hadn't played yet were re-purchased, on a sale for 5 bucks each or so, of course, on PC and added to my Steam library. (My PlayStation library is so small, it only made sense to do so.) So this is excellent news for me.
There are just 18 games left on my PS5 that are stuck on that platform since Steam doesn't have those games. After I wax off the last PlayStation games, it will just be the Xbox and PC running this house. (And a wee bit of the Nintendo Switch as well.)
What do trophies do anyways? They don't give you any points that lead to a voucher with which you can use to buy more games.

Haven’t played Ghost of Tsushima yet. I have a copy but I’m still busy playing old games on my Steam Deck. It’s kinda cool to think about my console gaming days are numbered (lol 2000s PC gamer here). I think the final nail in the coffin will be when the next XB/PS consoles go all digital.

I have to admit, Nixxes knows how to work with Hardware. My old GTX 970 is able to play their games, even towards 60fps. Around 720p and 1080p.

The best example of the success of crossplay is one of the most recent ones too, HD2. People love this game and ive had a blast playing with friends who dont have a pc but do have a ps.

I just want Play Anywhere type support for my PS games on PC like I've had on Xbox for years. That way I can play them at the highest settings and hopefully not have to pay twice for the same game. I know that is a pipe dream, though... they definitely want that double or triple-dip money.

I'm carious how they will do the trophy syncing on pc b/c even Xbox achievements for their games only apply to the Xbox app version of said if I'm not mistaken pretty sure the steam achievements are completely separate. Well same achievement but wont transfer to console. So unless ps is releaseing basically what xbox has on pc which in their case would be a ps app with its own store an the availability to download already own ps games through said app on pc that would be cool ngl.
