    The thing i love so much about Vietnamese culture is how important family is. Plus the food is amazing and the women are soooo beautiful!!! Can't wait to go back.

    I was so confused when I heard people calling this nem ran instead of cha gio when I visited Vietnam a couple years ago. Thank you for solving this mystery for me. My mind is at peace again.

    You omitted the most important factor for successfully frying these types of rolls made from wetted rice paper: the frying temperature and time, but mostly the temperature.

    it's pretty interesting when you speak with your "Grandma" with the northern accent but when you were in Ho Chi Minh City, your accent changed to Southern accent....very cute

    Quê anh ở Thái Bình, thì người ta ko gọi món này là Nem mà gọi khác đi 1 chút là Chả Bánh Đa ^^
    Anyway, bà của " What the Pho " vừa đẹp lão lại nấu ăn ngon , yêu cầu chị Vân làm luôn và ngay cho bà 1 kênh về ẩm thực để bà phô diễn kĩ năng !

    Aw, the grandma dresses exactly like my maternal grandmother. And her gestures also resemble so much Hanoi style, especially when she said "Vâng ạ" to you to stress emotion. I miss my grandmother ❤️

    So glad to see a video of a Vietnamese cook using Vietnamese rice paper ((Bánh Tráng) and not the Chinese spring roll or Chinese wonton wrapper to make Vietnamese egg rolls.
    Some cooks use the Chinese spring wrapper to make so-called Vietnamese egg rolls.
    Chinese roll wrapper is way too coarse, is way too thick compared to Vietnamese rice paper (Bánh Tráng). The Chinese wrapper makes Vietnamese egg roll taste like the oily Chinese roll --- ew.

    Nhìn bà của em biết kiểu người Hà Nội gốc hoặc cũng sinh sống nhiều đời ở HN rồi, món nem thể hiện sự tinh tế của cách làm người ngày xưa. Bây giờ mỗi nhà làm một kiểu biến tấu làm mất đi hương vị xưa. Rất ủng hộ em trên các nền tảng mạng xã hội, cố gắng lên nhé và bỏ qua những lời nói tiêu cực. Hà Nội thực sự cần những người như em lắm, chúc em luôn mạnh khỏe và phát triển kênh.

    My kids prefer eating seafood NEM that means we used seafood such as shrimp or cuttlefish or some fish to make Nem. It is so delicious! Hope you can introduce it to your foreign friends.

    I love CHANZO (FRY ROLLS) make with of pork (it's my favorite) but I like to make with of chicken.
    I can to eat every day CHANZO (FRY ROLLS) with salad and of others vegetables .
    CHANZO (FRY ROLLS) it's a of my favorite dishes .
    I like really Very Much when you speak in VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE.

    In the south it's pronounced "cha yaw" not "cha zaw" The G becomes a Y sound not a Z sound. No matter how it's pronounced, it is delicious. Ngon Qua!

    Thats called spring roll lady! :))))))) in Ho Chi Minh city we called them "cha gio'' which identically is the same as NEM, but yeah! just call 'em spring rolls.

    It should be called Vietnamese egg rolls. Spring rolls are similar to egg rolls but they are not fried and they are ready to eat; all ingredients inside rice papers are well cooked. Remember that Chinese egg rolls do not have meat, only vegetables.
