Wowww. Been watching your videos but didn't know that Nghe An is your hometown ( I know it's your mom's) until this. I'm from Thanh Chuong, Nghe An and I'm living in Texas too. Love your series so much. Thank you and Keep ip up!!!
Thank you!!! :))
Night time in a dark, countryside neighborhood seems really nice. I think some of my fondest memories were visiting random villages where kids stared at us and said "anyeonghaseo" even though we were Vietnamese.
Haha that’s funny! People spoke to me in english cause they thought I’m thai
My parents are also originally from Central Vietnam (not exactly Nghe An but quite close). I think the thing I miss the most after moving abroad is the cozy atmosphere during Tet with the lights all lit up and people gathering around singing, chatting & eating. I found myself tearing up a little bit watching your extended family spending time with each other and smiling from ear to ear hearing that cute Central accent and seeing all those Central foods. Missing Tet so much even though it's already May ♥
Awww! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I'm happy to connect your memories with my travel journey. Hope and and your family are safe and well :))
I am from Nghe An too, but now i am in Indonesia, because of Covid 19 I could not go back Vietnam for lunar new year, see your video really enjoy. Thank you so much! 🤩🤗
Giống như ở đô lương / nghệ an . Video rất hay . Keep going
I have to admit I learn a lot about Vietnam from, good stuff and yes I like a lot of the food there
Nice video. Country life is safe and peaceful in Vietnam. Hanging out with family and cousins is the best.
Cozy family, i admire you so much, anh you have a beautiful voice, I hope you lead a happy life
Thank you!
Another quality video, great balance between informative and personal, nice style. Really nice showing us your family and a peek into your family life, it made the video so much more.
Thank you 🤗
Love seeing dogs running around being dogs instead of locked up in a cage... must love dogs!
Very attractive new year celebrations. Your mother is so smart and look like your elder sister !
So cute..💖
What the lovely family is🥰.
man i wish I can retire in Vietnam. I am from Vancouver BC where the cost of living is expensive. Eating out is a treat in Vancouver because each meal cost ~10-15 CDN dollar, whereas in Vietnam you can get a meal for less than $3 dollar CDN. My cost of living in Vancouver is roughly around 2400-2500 CDN per month. I can live comfortably in Vietnam with that. =D It is life.
Check out Vung Tàu and Da Nang. Lots of western retirees there. Great places. Better places to live than much larger cities like Hanoi and Sai Gon.
yep, hope to see you in vietnam soon
gosh your channel is underrated !!! you deserve hundreds of thousands of subscribers
Please share to make this come true!!! 🤗
Really feel homesick (Nghe An, too) during viewing this Video from the south of Vietnam where is being suffered with Covid spreading. Thanks Van!

I very loved "Banh Gai", it was my favorite cake that was popular in the area of Central Vietnam, Qui Nhon City which was my parents' hometown. As my childhood, I often demanded "Banh Gai" from my mom when I occasionally visited family in Qui Nhon for Lunar New Years. "Banh Gai" makes me fresh memories of childhood and my eyes in full of tear. Thank you for your sharing of memories./from California, USA
Aw! Thanks so much for sharing your childhood stories! Very inspiring, I hope you and your family are safe and well :))
@@WhatThePho Thank you for your wishing words and it MIGHT be the same to you and your family. Stay safe and stay cool in summer time in Vietnam./from California, USA

Enjoyed the video and seeing the beautiful countryside. I didn't know there was a central accent :)
Lol, tú bôi nhọ mà trộn tí mỡ vào thì vui lắm
I can’t wait to go back one day!
Eel is one of my fav. If my memory serves me right there is another type called 'Lạch' which you can eat a whole thing (w/o shredding). Missed those days growing up.
I have a fear of eels for some reason. Can't eat it.
Cute kid 🙂
Bé Vân dễ thương :3
I really like your voice, you sing so well
The worst thing for me is the karaoke from my neighbour :)
Hai me con nhu hai chi em❤️👍
Maybe it’s more pleasant that call Lunar New Year is Tet
I'm from central vietnam, they in north and south vietnam are strange We will create our own country soon, those others r over populated and live in dense ghettos
Hello VANVU, I like this song than you have to sing.
You have a Very Beautiful Voice.
You singing really absolutely Very Great.
For the game with your family , The persons of your family have for you a new color black make up because you have not to win the game,It's funny.
Don't utilise the color black new make up,It's so hilarious,It's a jock.
But you are look and feel always pretty.
With your traditionnel make up or without your traditionnel make up,You are always Gorgeous.
Best Regards VAN VU .
Thank you!!
Người chi mô mà dễ thương á nờ : )))
Wow that old gentleman got some 'da cau' skill right there whereas the young lady in Ao Dai was quite the opposite.
That is a fantastic video. It reminds me of Luna New Year in Viet Nam which is the part of my childhool.
I like your Nghe An pronunciation. Why you don't stay in the USA to find an opportunity after you graduate?
I am an audience from California.
Hi there! It's a long story why I decided to go back to Vietnam. Honestly, I found myself here and I love traveling so much that's why I chose Vietnam. I love love Cali, I was there 2 years ago and Cali is so beautiful!
You sing very well😊
Thank you so much 😄
Hello from Nghệ An
Nói tiếng nghệ an đi em gái, dễ thương lắm 😘😘😘
When you say "Ngọt vãi" I know that no one can take Vietnam from you 😅
so sweet I piss myself. There you go :)
Em về nghệ An à.

Looks like you guys had the best day! 😊 Where in the U.S did you live before moving back to Vietnam?

dont forget to say zo x 2 times, and uong =))))))))))). i can not stop laughing =)))))))))
Cô gái hơi tây hát ước gì cũng có cảm xúc đấy :)
*Nghe An, why do some speak with central accent, while others with northern accent?*
@Spliphi *what would you prefer? Nghe An or Hanoi? And also, would the south vietnam like Saigon, Dong Nai and such be better to live than the central and north?*
@Spliphi *somewhat helped me, thanks.*
Yeah totally agree with Spliphi since Vietnam has many regions with different dialects, just like China or America, they use different words and have different accent. Also, most of foreigners prefer to stay in big cities like Hanoi, Saigon, Nha trang, Da nang since they have the expat community there. However, it really depends on your preference in terms of weather, food, people, etc. I’ll do more videos about it if you want ☺️
Karaoke tieng mien nam va tieng Hue hay vay, tieng Hue a Nghe ko hieu 😍
lovely girl
That's such an interesting punishment for coming in last at 13. With my amazing luck, my entire face would be covered.
Ok.... Mom looks younger... Are you adopted ?
Don't say anymore, and you are an interested girl. Where is the grandmother's hometown at NA?
It's at Anh Son :))
Chị chia sẻ cách học tiếng anh đi ạ
Hi em! Chị có chia sẻ trên kênh tiếng việt Minhlavanday của chị rùi nhé, em tham khảo nhaczcams.com/video/1F9P5LCDcbs/video.html&ab_channel=minhlavanday
Vanvu u like to kick plastic botol?
Great episode! I have 2 questions: 1) What is the name of the first song that you & your mom were singing karaoke on? and 2) Who are your favorite Vietnamese singers? (I love Phi Nhung.) And your red polka-dot ao dai is beautiful, BTW!
It's called Khúc tâm tình người hà tĩnh and I don't have a favorite singers haha
@@WhatThePho What a beautiful traditional song! I found a version with a Đàn tranh in the arrangement and it's just gorgeous. Cảm ơn cô Vũ!
