wtf is happening to kim kardashian's body?

  • Go to casetify.com/stephanielange to shop CASETiFY's biggest sale of the year now!! So we’ve talked about Kim Kardashian’s rise to fame, her facial transformation - but now she’s only gone and changed her body too! Gone is the poster girl for the curvy, voluptuous ‘slim thick’ body, and in her place is a new Kim. Which has people talking. And I think that was her aim. Kim can’t possible allow herself to become stale or irrelevant, so the best way to keep people interested (and the money rolling in?) re-invent yourself. Or your body. And that’s exactly what Kim’s done! And it’s worked! In all honesty, what Kim does with Kim’s body is Kim’s choice and her choice alone - however because her influencer is SO huge, what she does with her body filters down to beauty standards everywhere (as we saw happen in the past). Then it becomes an issue. Especially considering Kim is rumoured to be using less than desirable means to rapidly lose weight. Her blatant promotion and pride at her 7kg weight loss (crash diet) in 3 weeks honestly has me annoyed. We’re not living in the early 2000s anymore. She should know better than to promote that kind of thing. But this is Kim Kardashian we’re talking about, and quite frankly, i’m not sure she cares.

Especially now that plastic surgery is available. Before plastic surgery different silhouettes were trendy at different times but back then women used padding, petticoats, corsets and other things OUTSIDE their body to achieve those shapes. And nobody even thought women were achieving those silhouettes naturally. Now with plastic surgery everything is more muddled and also more dangerous for one's health.

I am Latin but I am super short and skinny so I never fitted with the curvy spicy latina image, at one point I started working out to make my legs thicker, then I gain weight by accident and ended up looking a bit shapeless and then I lost weight because of the k-pop slim body trend until I realize they were way too skinny and if you are not naturally that thin, that body shape need some serious sacrifice to maintain.
So after all that struggle I've decided to change my approach, now I exercise and eat well to obtain a healthy body that I like not one that fits any trend or culture, I think maybe Kim could use some of that but I also think her main issue, wanting attention, won't let her be good, even to herself.

I think ppl are freaking out because it's not how they are USED TO seeing her. She does look extra skinny now, but the implant removal likely had A LOT to do with it. & If I had to guess, it's 1. The breakup. Ppl, women especially, almost always go through drastic physical changes after a divorce. 2. Potential implant related health complications forced her to get rid of them.
Also, I lost 50 lbs this yr. I started losing it because I had hit obese level & got tired of feeling bad about myself. It slid off way quicker than I expected & quite frankly, it's been really disheartening to hear rumors that I must be on drugs or starving myself because I dropped about 10lbs/ mo until I hit my regular weight. Was it drastic? Yes. But am I HEALTHY? YES! I actually eat MORE now, don't even drink let alone anything else & had check ups with my doc. The reason it came off so quickly? Because when I switched back to normal activity levels & eating right again, my body said "okay, time to get back to it! We don't need this anymore!" Ppl are finally shutting up about it since I hit my regular, but honestly? It's stupid as hell that ppl had so much to say about something that was between me, myself & my doctor.

Im in psychology & I think I’ve done a pretty good job of teaching him whats right/healthy etc, but it started weighing on my heart, for some reason, to explicitly talk to him about this stuff (topic of your videos) recently, like I would if I had a daughter. It’s not that we don’t discuss it, but not in depth like that about women, social media, self esteem, and how this effects women & the guys that see these women online & start to think that “women in real life” don’t look like the Kendalls & Adriannas of the world. I sent him 3 of your videos and he started watching you a few weeks ago. Last night he thanked me.🥹 it was sweet. He said, I needed to see this, thanks mom”. He really likes you, we both enjoy the way you are able to talk about this so bluntly and openly while still being so sweet and respectful to the beautiful ladies. He was like, “she’s so right, they are perfectly beautiful, they didn’t need to change anything or filter themselves like that”. He started thinking about it and was afraid it was messing with his head as much as theirs and welcomed the reality check.

The only time I feel weird is when I’m around super curvy ladies or smby records me running around next to taller ppl. The beauty standard is never athletic rectangles but it’s ok bcuz I’m still cute. It’s nothing a nice pair of leggings and platform boots can’t fix.
Just bcuz Kim is slim doesn’t mean your body type isn’t hot.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm honestly sort of in the same boat, but i'm trying to use the last bit of sanity i'm holding onto in the midst of all this to realize that this "ultra skinny" trend will not be the direction in which the vast majority moves in, though it may feel like so. Kim Kardashian is literally just weird. I'm near certain that one day, she and all of her other family members will take this bullshit too far and their obsession with beauty will become a cautionary tale. It is not normal to be the way she is.
Your figure is banging and it adds to your beauty. I don't have to see you to know it. But never forget that you are a human. Beautiful, of course, but human first and foremost. Treat your body right, fuck that shitty family and their asinine obsession with vanity.

I agree with your points and that body standards change over time, though I think thinness will never go out of style - especially when the person somehow still has relatively large breasts and hips. It’s always been and will continue to be incredibly hard to be thin (just like you say in your other videos, our bodies aren’t designed for it). Tbh your comparison to Madonna makes sense, it’s inevitable that famous people will reinvent their looks, and if you’re not a famous musician like Madonna or Lady Gaga or Rihanna who have a lot of dramatic fashion and hair/makeup as part of their look, there’s only so much you can change about your appearance.

Steph, never give up on what your putting out there on your channel, this coming from an old girl that has seen the damage these trends of crash diets have done to vulnerable young people, following the likes of these people is not healthy for anyone and I think they should realise that it can be life threatening to them in the long term, it’s a very Sad world they live in now and I’m grateful that I never followed body trends growing up, I’m a bit like you, I’ve never had a weight issue actually the complete opposite, I’ve never had a butt or boobs and as I’ve gotten older everything seems to have drooped, but that’s okay with me, I’m alive and breathing, many that aren’t. I was late to the whole social media stuff and couldn’t believe my eyes to see what’s out there, I’d really hate to be young again and have so much pressure but on someone for the way they look, it’s so very wrong and Sad 😢 and it’s not just celebrities, it’s influences here on CZcams as well, some use filters and lighting to make themselves look flawless and that’s not Real Life. Hope your keeping well, I’m not sure if you mentioned when baby is due but it must be soon 🤷🏼‍♀️, Happy Holidays to you and your family. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and has become insulin resistant so her endocrinologist put her on Ozeimpic injections, which can have a side effect of rapid weight loss since it works on the metabolic system. It helps diabetics (insulin resistant type 1 and 2) to level blood sugar, A1C, long term blood glucose levels, those with FH and other metabolic/immunodeficiency disorders and, as a side effect, can have a significant weight reduction.
It’s on back order for 3 mnths because it has had such a huge boost in prescriptions and sales just recently.
Her endocrinologist said it has had a soar in sales due to celebrities, influencers, etc have decided it’s the new “weight loss trend”. She said it’s believed that Kim Kardashian used it in the rapid weight loss she had to fit in the “Marilyn Monroe” dress for the Met Ball.
So, by word of mouth, it began to spread in popularity as a weight loss cheat resulting in people who need it for legitimate medical purposes to be unable to get it due to such low stock.
So, for their “trend” of slimmer bodies and impatience to achieve that by healthy eating habits/exercise people (less “blessed”) with dangerous medical conditions have to suffer until another comes along to replace it or they can finally get theirs when stock is back up. 😠 😖

Honestly what pisses me off about Kim K the most isn't even her fluctuating body but the fact that she lies about it being achieved naturally and not due to cosmetic procedures and surgeries. I think people are completely free and fine to get cosmetic procedures done as long as they're safe about it but if you're in a position of influence AND you advertise things like diet supplements, I think there should be a level of transparency about your body transformation, whether it's surgery or steroid use in fitfluencers.
There are some studies that suggest that teens and young adults who have grown up during the era of social media are having an increasingly difficult time separating truth from edited images online and while there are no conclusive studies yet (cause the research is in its infancy) about whether there is a direct correlation between time spent on social media and EDs or body dysmorphia, based on anecdotal evidence, time spent online has the potential to cause these disorders. It's therefore reprehensible that these celebs and influencers are marketing unrealistic results and methods to their audiences, which are often made up if young people who are suggestible and at many times already insecure.

    • @Frankie.s
      @Frankie.s Před rokem +3

@@stephanielange quiting carbs it's not unhealthy. It's called Ketogenic diet and it's a good and also a very restrictive diet (it requires medical supervision) but if you want to lose weight fast or have some conditions it's a good option.
That's what I was talking about, for me she doesn't look ""thin"" she looks more "fit" or a mix of both. I think that now fit bodies are the trend and if you think about it it's positive bc everyone can be fit doing exercise and eating healthier. We all know that Kim's body has a lot of work done but the realistic version it's possible with good habits.

Best thing of growing up (even though I’m just 18 years old) is that once you start to be mature, you start to accept the fact that your body is unique, and it doesn’t has to look like anyone else’s body.
I’ve been struggling with body dismorphia, and eating disorders since I was 12 (thanks to my ballet teachers 🤩). I’m not tall, for a reference, I’m only 1 foot taller than Kim K. My body type is endomorphic, which is a body type that tends to gain weight in a more easier way.
2 years ago I didn’t know this information about my body, or didn’t know that my height played a huge role in my body figure, and I was really sad and depressed for not being skinny, or having a small waist. I don’t have big boobs either, and my ass was flat, also my rib cage is kind of wide, so I saw myself as a “disgusting” square.
All this thoughts are in the past now. Nowadays, with all the information about my body and MY HEALTH, I’ve been taking care of myself, and honestly I feel gorgeous, and I love my body shape. I started following accounts like Leana Deeb, or DianaFit (i think that’s her name I don’t remember) and have noticed that some woman look beautiful without having a small waist, or Barbie doll proportions.
I’ve focused on myself, and in challenging myself with exercise; obviously never over-exceeding my body’s capacity. I started combining cardio and weightlifting, I changed my diet to a more healthier one, where I don’t prohibit myself food; I eat whatever I want, in a modulate way. I started taking care of myself, and giving myself nice treats, like self massages, spa days at home, scalp massages, yoga, Pilates, meditation, listening to music and dancing, and whatever makes me happy; and honestly, this life style fits me a lot more. It’s a lifestyle where only I matter, and I take in consideration what my mind and body needs, instead of just comparing myself to others, and forcing my body to be something that it’s not.
Yes, I know I’m young, 18 years aren’t that much, but I feel that where I am right now in life is a great start to a great life.
I feel so confident, and always wanna feel like this. I enjoy my own company, and I don’t feel the need of being validated by others. I now get a lot of compliments because of the way I radiate and shine, and without the need of being Barbie doll-like.
Always remember that the most important thing in life is to know yourself, and to give yourself the best life style you can. Always take care of your body and mind 🤍 take care everyone
Extra info: After 1 year of weightlifting at home, I finally started noticing huge changes in my muscles, like my arms are toned, my legs as well, my glutes grew a lot, and my abdominal area looks cute, kind of toned (I can’t see any noticiable abs yet but it’s okay)
Honestly this progress has helped me a lot in the process of accepting myself, and my body, so if you’re starting a fitness journey, always remember that huge progress takes up time (not 2 weeks, like some “fitness” influencers promise)

Curves might not always be "on trend", but they will always be attractive-- especially to men. Regardless of what women decide the "standard of beauty" is in any given era, the stand-out babes are never the unhealthy stick figures that women compete with each other to be. (And I'm referring to the actually unhealthy stick figures, folks, not the naturally slender women.)
