I'm not going to lie, I DON'T feel bad for Khloe Kardashian. I actually think she looks AMAZING in the unedited photo that surfaced online last week. She looks like a strong, happy, confident woman. However I fear that the fact that she is so desperate to have it wiped from the face of the internet forever is sending a message to other women. A Message to her over 100 million instagram followers, that if you look like that (i.e, a normal woman) - you should be embarrassed. And that if you end up with a photo showing your normal / beautiful body - it should be immediately removed from the internet so that no one can ever see it. Is this not perpetuating the toxic beauty standards that she claims to be a victim of?
On a personal level though, I think we can all see ourselves in Khloe. We all struggle with our confidence from time to time, especially body confidence. I don’t think anyone should be sending Khloe hate, or mean comments as she is just a human being like you and me at the end of the day, with emotions and her own insecurities, and everyone deserves kindness.
Let me know in the comments below what you guys think!

Having body image issues doesn't have to be enforced on everyone else around you, even more so when you're a celebrity worth billions. To pass off a picture/video as explicitly an authentic reality (when it isn't) is a huge deception. They are peddling diet culture products to followers who have way less money to afford more sustainable changes like healthy food that other people cooked for them, gym memberships, personal trainers, sufficient health care, therapy to improve dysmorphic perceptions, etc. They are very clearly using their resources to pressure others into fitting in with them. So.... after almost finishing my comment.... I realised it had almost become a novel. The reason I felt I had to respond to this video was the nerve it hit for me & the concern for my niece and her generation. But I will always begin on a positive.
My niece has the family trait of very small hooded eyes... I can attest that they become more hooded as we girls in the family get older... hence why I got onto hooded eyes for mature skin on CZcams
BUT.... my gorgeous niece taught me about tight lining.... yaaay what a difference it makes and & how cool.
My comments below are NOT criticisms of my niece or her generation. It’s about the pursuit of so called perfection.... and the subject of this video..... Khloe K.. not only KK but so many others at this time who set the beauty standards through filters & lies. The person referred to in this video KK felt so insecure in herself that an unfiltered picture might ruin her career & money earning ability -
My question is why as a family of millionaires would you ever feel that you wanted to distance yourself, no actually want to delete forever a beautiful candid picture, allegedly taken by a loving member of your family. This is what made me so sad.
So... I’m 58 years old....and I don’t usually comment on vids that I watch but this really hit a nerve Stephanie... I have a niece who’s in her early 20’s & ever since she was about 16 years old would never go outside the house without a full face of makeup.... I mean full coverage makeup. She spent every spare cent she had on makeup. It took her more than an hour to just put on her make up. Please don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely her choice... she is so beautiful with & without makeup, and such a beautiful, kind person. However she seriously thought that if she went outside the house... even just to the local shops without a full face of makeup the world probably end. If any if her friends or school mates saw her, it would be the end of all her friendships.
My sister was so concerned for her as this had become so much a focus of her being I suppose. It had come to a stage that she would rather spend money on makeup than on going to the doctor or paying bills, once she’d moved out of home.
What is my point? I love wearing makeup and have done so since I was about 18. I wasn’t allowed to wear it to work, as I trained as a hospital nurse, starting in 1981. But at night we went out and glammed up and thought we were gorgeous... think a decade so bright you had to wear Ray-Bans. Of course there was peer pressure... sometimes to the extreme for some people.... but perfection was never the goal. Dressing up was about fun.
Then in my thirties it was the supermodel era... beautiful women... often Amazonian... Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer.... photos were edited of course but I think most people knew that... I’m really happy for someone to say “that’s not true in my experience” by the way... we copied the makeup, drew fake moles on our upper lips ... circa Cindy C... in fact Cindy made it ok to have a mole on your face.... no way she was going to get it removed, even though in the early she was told it had to be removed or she’d never get work.
Thank you Stephanie for this video.... I think it might be among the top most important videos you’ve posted.. You are so real. As an “old codger” I’ve been following you for years. But you know I don’t actually feel like an old codger... it’s my Australian sense of taking the p^ss out of myself.
Thanks Stephanie.... you’re a legend, can’t wait to read your book..... from an older generation 😘 🤭

The Kardashians have achieved their look through plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures, personal trainers, personal chefs and dietitians only then to go a step further by altering and editing their photos/videos beyond recognition. They do this to sell and to capitalize on the insecurities of others. Think about it...without fake and edited hair, how many sponsorships with Sugar Bear Hair would they have? The Kardashian sisters popularised cosmetic surgery + facetune culture, I'd say they definitely should take some responsibility for that. Like, I don't want to sound like I'm dragging people in any way at all, but you go to your local mall and there are soooo many very young women with clear lip filler, cheek filler, botox around the eyes to remove any fine lines, even visible padding in their gym tights since apparently we should all be wanting a huge arse now... basically emulating that 'Kardashian look'. I don't think that's EVER happened before where you have so many people literally getting surgery to look like a celebrity. Maybe someone from an older generation can pipe in here if this isn't new, but it's so crazy to me.
Even after I left school at the end of last year I saw girls from my classes had already gotten their first cosmetic surgeries like... no one should feel as if they have to look like someone else, it is pretty sad to me.

I'm 42 so I can say- it's not new to copy someones makeup or hairstyle but it's new to look like exact copy using fillers and surgical operations. Scale of it is insane 😱 And it's the same template: big lips, hourglass figure, no fat, blured skin, etc. Impossible to achive naturally. I hope the trend will change to glorify individuality. I sometimes see girls with lip fillers and I feel sorry for them, beautiful, young and lips doesn't match with face, proportions are disturbed. Like slaughtered by bees. I don't say don't use fillers or so, do it if you feel it but do it like Jane Fonda. Don't change yourself, emphasize what you have.

Plastic surgery was popular in the 90's early 00's. But also during that time being fit and thin was in.
Kardashians didn't invent the plastic look in fact I'd say Heidi from the hills did that. She popularized a stigma and eventually the kardashians/Jenner's made it a cult sensation which I don't see going anywhere because society today doesn't like real looking women at all

It's terrible. I'm 19, and I see SO many young women around my age with cosmetic surgery, fake tans, lip fillers etc...It's honestly tragic because they've ruined their faces forever. They're trying SO hard to look like something that doesn't even exist. If you've seen pictures of Kylie Jenner without make-up, they aren't flattering. I call the look "make-up face" because these women have permanently changed their faces solely to fit a particular style of make-up. And that's sad.

They have the power to change those ridiculous beauty standards but they CHOOSE to be as unapproachable as possible. And that's not even what bothers me the most. Their hypocrisy of promoting body positivity when they can't even admit to plastic surgeries and photoshopping every detail on their body is disgusting. Either own up to not finding all bodies beautiful or show this positivity with actions. People who don't buy this fake image would appreciate the honesty much more.

I think the kardashians, like you said, didn’t invent the beauty standards but definitely amplified them & modified them. For example kim k & kylie k and the whole curvy hourglass figure. I think when that first appeared they were proud of the attention because obviously it is all show biz, but they kept branding as “effortless” & body goals to the media and pretending to be perfect and ideal by not coming out clean about BODY POSITIVITY & REAL BODIES.they didn’t back down and say
” oh haha i actually got fillers & surgery “ or “really this red carpet look 5 hours of makeup & a super tight corset & 5 under- garments under my dress”
If they really cared how young girls are impacted they wouldn’t continue making their faces bodies & media seem real & effortless. And even Kendall has the ideal thin body , & wants to seem that way with the editing even so really they all want to seem perfect and it is sad they think that way and all the harmful lil tolls it takes on our mental health little by little & even theirs too! Because im sure like khloe all of the sisters feel insecurities just aren’t (or don’t get to be) open about it :/ anyways love you angel! Always love & agree with what you have to say💓

They didn’t contribute to the beauty standard, they CREATED it. It’s so interesting to look back what is historically beautiful, and to see how they have single handedly shaped the body expectations for women(which are genuinely impossible) you have to be skinny enough to have a tiny waist and a thigh gap, but curvy enough to have massive hips, a butt, thighs, and boobs, but they have to all be proportionate. Even the “Instagram” makeup trend of baking and contour was pushed forward, by them. I totally agree that she lost out on a massive opportunity to empower women and be real.

I just don't understand because wouldn't you as the "ugly sister" want to prevent all of those young girls that follow you from feeling the way you were feeling? Wouldn't you want to spread body positivity (the real body because it's beautiful, not the edited to the extreme) and tell your followers they beautiful just the way they are and that they don't have to fit into those impossible beauty standards to be worthy and valuable human beings? While I do have some sympathy towards what she's feeling, I don't really feel she gets to play the victim now when her sisters and her constantly harm women's minds and make them feel less then, they play a huge part in setting up those standards and they should feel responsibility to demolish them too

You’ve got no idea how good it is to see you channel. It does so much for me. I am a new mom, I always did complain about my body image. After giving birth I went into a deep depression and it was about my body image and models on social media. I had to delete the apps to try to focus and love my own self image. Thank you for reminding me, that it does not matter how I look like because no one is perfect. Everyone has a little imperfection.

I am 53 years old and have seen the damage social media has done to my children's friends. From eating disorders, body dismorphia and even suicide. The youth today have it SO much harder than when I was young. It is so important for parents to make sure their children understand that 99% of the images and lifestyles that they see on FB, Instagram, Tiktok etc...ARE NOT REAL!
