  • You can create the perfect body on Instagram using lighting, angles, posing (and influencers do) but the perfect body doesn’t exist in REAL life, as this video will show, and really - who’d want to be perfect anyway? How boring. I feel like we all need that tough love friend who reminds us that what we see online, the perfect looking influencers, with their perfect bodies and perfect lives - AREN’T REAL!! These beautiful women are just regular people at the end of the day, the same as you and me! We stink, we pee, we poop. We have cellulite and stretch marks and rolls when we sit down. It’s normal. It’s cute! It’s part of being human. I’m that tough love friend to remind you, that perfection is BORING, influencers are ANLGES AND LIGHTING goals and not body goals, and we’re all gorgeous anyway!
    Also, I’m doing a giveaway over on my Instagram if you wanna enter! My Instagram is: @_stephanielange_ good luck! x
    Sending you guys so much love!
    Remember, nourish yourself and love yourself. You deserve to feel amazing.
    xx

      That's so good!! I find that in the beginning of the summer I always get extra body anxious because the media and ads bombard us with how we should be in perfect shape for the summer, and then I go to the beach after stressing out for two weeks and I'm like "oh... Everyone looks normal". Like, there's maybe one really pretty young girl out of 50 people. And she's still not on those insta models' level. It really forces you to realize the lie you were being fed.

      I completely agree! And even when a lot of women are naturally beautiful and a lot who have the money to get Botox and injections or a boob job and you think they are setting the standards too high for women in men’s eyes because they see women in real life that have perfect hair , bodies , faces whatever, and you feel like you have to have a boob job or whatever just to be on an equal playing field. I wish nobody could get anything done. Then we’d all be normal looking. I feel like naturally everyone has something that isn’t perfect like their nose or their facial structure or their body and naturally even the most prettiest of people have something that isn’t perfect on them, but now with money, people can get everything fixed to be perfect on them and the poor or not rich people can’t afford to get a boob job after kids or a tummy tuck or whatever so guys look at those women who have the money to get everything fixed and look at us who don’t have the resources and now we look not as good to them.

  • @breezy9046
    @breezy9046 Před 3 lety +2635

    It's funny how some men try to explain why they want a woman with big breasts and wide hips/big butt. They then claim that it is linked to a woman's fertility and that men are unconsciously attracted to it. According to them, large breasts are a sign that the woman can produce enough milk for the child (despite the fact that small breasts produce the same amount of milk) and that wide hips/big butts are a sign that the woman can give birth more easily (also this is not quite correct). The funny thing is that the fat in the lower belly does actually play a role in fertility, because it protects these organs, but you would never hear these men say that they find lower belly fat sexy.

    • @brokenanklesarentfun
      @brokenanklesarentfun Před 3 lety +555

      Also if beauty standards were based on fertility then body hair on women would be worshipped because it signals reproductive age and holds pheromones.

    • @timwiesenfeld8031
      @timwiesenfeld8031 Před 2 lety +137

      What is to be true (small breasts have the same amount of milk) is not necessarily what we perceive to be true. (So big breasts offer more milk). Plus, back in the last centuries, skinny women were mostly poor and malnourished, while curvy women with breasts and hips were nourished and could actually have children. Further, you can śthink this way too: tall, broad shouldered men are most attractive to women, because we think they can protect us best. However, the best fighters in the world are more on the small, slimmer end. Not fair either.

      I remember in high school my boyfriend told me liked my belly, and that's when I learned that my little round belly was not a problem. I know it's hard to not compare yourself to others but if you work at it, it is completely possible and makes you feel so much better. Sure there's a little extra belly fat there that I'd like to smooth out but I'm so not as concerned about it now, thinking about my organs! Is that weird to say? So, I am a man, with a beard and everything. I noticed that there are a lot of comments about men's view of the body of women. I'd say most men know that a belly comes along with breasts and hips, it's part of the package. That's normal, we know and don't mind. I wouldn't really call a belly sexy but rather cuddly or soft. Don't worry about stripes or cellulite, most dudes won't care. Personally I think stripes are pretty, it looks like a print pattern or tiger stripes. Don't worry too much about bad skin. While acne is not exactly attractive, it is something that we have too. And we don't have make up to hide it :) The average normal dude knows what an average normal woman looks like. Don't stress yourselves. Also please dont't put all the blame on us. Most instagram models take and photoshop their own pictures and the fashion industry is mostly a women's affair.

Beauty standards for women are set extremely high by the patriarchy for a reason: it makes it easier to exert control over women. It's the systemic equivalent of negging and a way of maintaining the status quo of gender inequality that ultimately benefits men. Women with low self esteems are much easier to control and exploit than women with high self esteems. That's something we shouldn't overlook in this conversation :)

It's perfectly normal to have a few years where your body may look strange to you because of that - I know mine did when I was a teenager. Thank you so much I’m 18 and have been feeling very insecure about my body. I was a very skinny child and when I turned 18 during lockdown my body changed and I felt so insecure more so because of family’s comments on how I’ve gained and even though it wasn’t said maliciously I felt so upset about my changing body! I’m a size small still but have found myself going into unhealthy habits to try and get back. Your videos have really helped me love my new curves and body thank you honestly !! Your channel is so inspiring for young girls like me ❤️

      Embrace your changing body 😍 I feel like around that age you stop looking like a teenager and turn into a woman, and that is epic ⚡️ sending you so many hugs! Xx

    Love this series precious Stephanie. Feels so good to appreciate these beautiful women in their natural state. This obsession with air-brushed perfection is the highway to nowhere.

    You are 100% right. We all need to appreciate our own bodies.
    I have scars where my life was saved after I had cancer. They are the reason why I am alive.
    Our bodies are amazing.
    All the best being holistic nutritionist. X

    Damn I love your videos. When showing us the influencers pictures you aren’t putting them down you are truly showing how normal and beautiful the female body is when we are simply existing in the world
