  • DOVE CAMERON - YOU GUYS ASKED FOR IT! Dove has had a dramatic glow up. Has she had plastic surgery? Fillers? Tweakments? What do you guys think?
    I think Dove is beautiful and seems to have a lovely personality to match! She is super successful and has a league of loyal fans who adore her. However it is clear that she has had quite a drastic glow up. Or is that a ‘grow up’? I would suspect that she has had a few tweakments along the way to achieve her Hollywood look which is fine! Do what ya want with your face if it makes YOU happy! This video is not to call Dove out, it’s simply to show you guys watching that even the most stunning, ‘perfect’ looking celebrities and influencers are actually REAL people the exact same as you! Don’t compare your beautiful self to $50k worth of surgery and tweakments!
    Love you guys! X

    I don’t think her surgeries are considered subtle at all imo. She doesn’t even look like the same person. Even feature on her face has changed and that is so toxic for her to act like that is her natural face for young girls. It’s most definitely not at all.

      True, it’s so unbelievable how normalized plastic surgery and glow up culture has become in order for these young kids and adults to actually believe puberty does things like this. Yes, if u lose a lot of weight or gain a lot weight, it can change your bodily proportions drastically. If u compare yourself as an adult to your preteen self, once again, yes it can happen. But this doesn’t work after you are a teenager, you will grow into your face and your features will probably even out but your bone structure will not just change its entire shape. Your eyes do not change shape, your nose itself doesn’t change shape, your lips do not change shape, your body structure in itself does not change shape drastically either.

    Personally I think it’s the small, hardly noticeable tweaks that are the most damaging for younger people, especially girls. When plastic surgery is obvious, we can at least acknowledge that that person has just had work done and that’s why they look that way. However, plastic surgeries that look really natural should absolutely be admitted to because those small changes are still projecting false expectations of beauty onto young girls, only it’s worse because its perceived as natural.

    • @ivy3723
      @ivy3723 Před 2 lety +125

      But they shouldn’t have to admit it if they don’t want to, that’s for them to discuss not everybody else. If people have problems with them having slight plastic surgery, then that’s their own problem. Social media and editing is the problem, not having surgery to make themselves feel better. Maybe if people stopped bullying others and comparing people, people wouldn’t be so insecure. It’s not anybody’s business to force somebody to talk about their fixed insecurities because other people are insecure about themselves. Social media is toxic.

    The only thing that irks me about her glow-up is the lack of acknowledgement of the procedures. I understand that she does not owe anyone any explanation but I believe she does have a lot of young fans (due to her Disney work) and simply saying "yes, I had some things done. You can do it as well but you don't have to if you don't want to" would actually be great for her and her fanbase. I know it's a weird comparison, but Selena Gomez, who's also a former Disney star, being open and honest about her health helped a lot of fans to feel like they're not alone. Dove could help a lot of hers, by pointing out that looks like hers (and many other celebrities) are not simply a matter of diet and growing up and that comparing yourself to them is not healthy.

I hope you come to accept yourself exactly as you are, and try not to wish away precious time thinking about how you could be "better", you're exactly as you're supposed to be ❤️❤️❤️

      Hi! Just for your interest:
      She’s most know for her Disney work:
      - Liv & Maddie (she played both twins + occasionally other characters and got an Emmy Award for it)
      - Descendants franchise (about Disney villains kids, got Kids Choice award)
      She’s also
      - casted as Bubbles for Powerpuff Girls reboot
      - played in musicals (par ex., Hairspray Live and she sang live on Schmigadoon)
      - Appeared on Marvel’s Agents of Shield.
      !!! But I’d advise to check out her music first of all - that’s honestly next level kind of songs. She also works on her new music now with Finneas O’Connell, Billie Eilish’ brother.
      And on top of that: though she never talked about her plastic surgeries, she’s very open about mental health struggles, social media influences on mental state, public’s expectations and overcoming anorexia. She’s also advocating for equality and body desexualization.

    Recently I stumbled across some Russian Instagram models, and noticed a trend for them to claim that they are ‘all natural’ when you can clearly see they had plastic surgery and edit their photos heavily. Even though I know in my mind that they are lying, it still made me feel insecure af, and I’m a grown ass woman of 26. I can’t imagine the damage it is doing to younger women who use these models as ‘inspiration’.
    If you are known for your looks, you have an ethical responsibility to your followers to tell them about plastic surgery and other invasive beauty treatments you get done. You don’t have to go into detail, but don’t lie and claim you are natural when you are not.

      They absolutely are hurting society! I'm also sick of women and girls saying "if it makes you happy, that's a good thing!" as if suddenly we can't criticise this extremely toxic culture we're living in because "it makes HER feel good!" How about we start asking why these women didn't feel confident before? I remember when a lot of judgement came with plastic surgery, and personally I think it should have stayed that way because now these influential women are teaching other women and girls that if they're insecure about their natural face and/or body, they can just have surgery. Despite the rest of me being very thin I have always had particularly large calves which made me extremely insecure throughout my teenage years, so much so that I was planning on getting LIPOSUCTION on them when I turned 18! Luckily by the time I got that old my stance had changed, but I can't think of a single young girl in this day and age that has never had at least one thought about surgery.
      I think parents have a responsibility to keep their young daughters off social media - I mean, the fact that there are 13 year old girls on IG is shocking. BUT, that doesn't stop these influential women from spreading these terribly damaging messages to millions of people every day. They are the ones who started this mess, after all. Also, shame on the surgeons who perform unnecessary work on these poor people. Some of them should be sued or thrown in prison, honestly. In my city every third woman has lips that make her look like she stuck her head in a beehive, not to mention the awful leaking collagen from "anti-ageing"/"plumping" procedures or whatever they're called that are marketed to both older and younger women alike.

    We were just watching Descendants 3 last week, and my brother kept saying her lips bothered him. First I thought it was just makeup, but eventually started noticing that I don’t think she looked like that before. We googled some pictures from Liv & Maddie and while she had full lips then, they were even fuller in the movie. I had no idea she had fillers before that because it looked more natural back then.

    I think she has had work done but it doesn’t look bad 🤷🏼‍♀️ I like that she hasn’t made her face thinner or more angular. Having a fuller face actually looks more youthful. Women can look too harsh and gaunt if their faces are too angular, and I don’t think celebs will appreciate that look as they age. Dove will look better & more youthful for longer, and maybe that’s why she has opted not to mess with her fuller face.

      @laurenmichero9003 Před 2 lety +13

      @@cutieowl347 there are a lot of women with thinner, angular faces that are supermodels. It doesn’t mean you don’t have great facial features, it just means that sometimes it can make women look more mature at a younger age. There are stunning models out there but they just look 45 instead of 25. It’s not a bad thing to have a thinner face but, theoretically, if you have a fuller face you look younger. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • @laurenmichero9003
      @laurenmichero9003 Před 2 lety +3

      @@verybarebones you aren’t understanding what I was saying. I said that she probably made the choice not to make her features more sculpted and her face thinner because it CAN make some women look older. I was providing the reason why I think she made that specific choice not to change her face in that way.
      There are beautiful supermodels that have angular thin faces. It’s just a fact that some women who are 25 can look 45 if they get a lot of work done on their face. If women want to look older then what do I care? I’m just stating a fact that, when people see someone with a slightly fuller/more round face, then they typically assume they are younger. Just like when people see 25 year olds who have sun damage and deep set forehead wrinkles. They may assume they’re older due to them having more wrinkles and sun damage. I’m not judging anyone or being “immature” 🙄…I’m just stating how other people see women’s features. I am in my thirties and I have a fuller almost baby face, fair skin, and no wrinkles because I protect my skin and avoid sun exposure. I can’t go anywhere without being carded. I go on vacation with family to Disney World and the people who work there take one look at me and assume I’m 16 or 17. One time They even thought my best friend was my mother lol! I’m not saying it’s a good or bad thing, but I just know I will be thankful that I look younger than my age when I’m older 😉
