A guy at my local plastic hobby club did something similar but it was not done exectly the same way. He called it fadeing witch I think is more used in aircraft modelling. I think the most easiest way to shade is black and white and then the base coat over it. Then follow up with some even stronger highlights or shadows if nesceserry.
Glad you went into a lengthened modulation video Jamie. This was really enjoyable to watch.
Thank you Mark
effortless as always Jamie, nice job
Superb video and very informative, looking forward to the next one!
Excellent guide to achieving a great looking model.
Great tutorial. Cheers.
outstanding buddy, TY!
cool vid look forward to the next
Nice! Also, if you dont have an enamel filter, you can always use the mid green color(russian green 017) mixed with a 1 to 3 ratio of thinner and just mist over the model. This will saturate the shading and highlights and kind of bring it all together. Both techniques work great.
I'm a modeler, not a gamer, but your methods are as good as anybody in the model world. The only difference for me is I don't varnish as they are never handled and live in an acrylic box. Clear coat only.
good job mate . nice tutorial
very helpful for my t34
Bang on mate!
Thank you Jack
the ammo by mig jimenez brown for dark green filter really warmed up the paint job. really nice look.
I use this on my green tanks too and it is just amazing. But remember to put a satin or gloss coat over it before applying it. There's also a filter for Dunklegleb armor too that is a must have.
I will be using the dunkelgelb one in the next tutorial!
Thank you guys.
very nice video thanks for doing, very helpful .
Great demonstration video and thank you very much. I have a question! what is the meaning of KV1 & KV2?
VMA #225 is only in the 4BO Kit box (8ml). Do you have an equivalent in the 17ml range?
Great tutorial, I had a great problem choosing right paints for Russian tanks and this whole 4BO don't work for me. But I have a question - are you sure about Vallejo Model Colour #225 Light Green? I can not find this paint anywhere, there is not paint with a number 225.
Hey there,
thanks.
Yep 225 Light Green:
www.squadron.com/Vallejo-Light-Green-225-Russian-Green-4BO-AFV-p/vj78225.htm
the link made a mistake, it should be 71225.
Looked everywhere for 225...doesn't exist or it's been discontinued. Could it be Camouflage Light Green 006?
where is the next video?
what is the needle size used in the airbrush for the detailing?
.35mm!
Many thanks :)
Anytime :)
Vallejo Model Colour #225 Light Green does not exist anymore?
Hi i dont see this decals on your store. Aren't decals ?
These decals have been replaced with the Soviet Slogans and Numbers sheets
Чекист (Уекист - wrong)
Good job, Чекист never been written on Soviet tanks - НА БЕРЛИН, ЗА РОДИНУ, ЗА СТАЛИНА etc. Or just some letters and numbers.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka - better read yourself)) but Chekist on heavy tank - it absurd)) Cheers!
Im sorry but this is NOT modulation. Instead the modeler is using the black and white technique combined with shading
Hey Kermits, it's probably panel lighting. I was younger then. It is mos def not the black and white.... I used grey primer haha. Thanks though!
