- In this video I shall assemble the relatively new plastic Soviet KV-1/2 heavy tank kit in 28mm (1:56) scale by warlord games for their tabletop game Blot Action.
This is a rather good kit. Quick and fairly easy to build. Would buy again!

I knew you would get this... I got this for my birthday and I loved it so much! I'll send you a photo
You're back! Its good to see your well.
really helpful to see the method you used. I'm about to build a T34/76 so good to see your approach, thanks, N
Glad you are back buddy! Hope you're doing good now!
just assembled and painted this model - it is a great looking piece of kit
finally you're back!! great video!!!
Nice build...and beautiful model!
Your back ! Hope your well mate ! 😀
I LOVE THE KV FAMILY
Agreed. The cards are a nice touch by Warlord. If they are available separately, I can't see any either. Cheers Herb!
Great vid duder.
Good to see you back - Hope you're doing well ... Was just looking at your channel the day before you posted your "I'm back" video, and was wondering if you were coming back anytime soon ...
Welcome back!
Those numbers refer to Vallejo Model Color Paints. ;)
PS: You are such a rebel! :D
I've been put off buying Warlord tanks as I thought they didn't construct too well and you don't get deals with some. But this is a nice looking representation, so i'm tempted with this.
Thanks for showing us this.
Their plastic ones are mostly pretty good. Though the Panther is a bit poor, particularly the hull MG. Their resin offerings aren't quite as good. I'd happily recommend this kit.
you're back.. this KV was a good start! Very stronk start indeed..
the KV1/2 looks awesome.. very detailed.. Personally I prefer the KV-2.. because, well.. its quite obvious isn't it?!
on the KV-1 turret, you could have used some metal wire or bent paperclips to make those grab handles look a little better.
that swastika is a Finnish version, so you were correct.
With all the tanks u have u can make some stop-motion videos of tanks fighting I would love this channel more.
😀
I'm very happy to see you back. I really enjoy your builds.
BTW I'm really mad at you !!! Your gaming videos with the KV-5. You made me buy a Trumpeter kit of it !!!!!!! Now im going to have to build it !!! LMAO !!!
Hahaha! I did it on purpose and I'm not even sorry! muahahaha. Share some pics when it's built.
Herbert Erpaderp I'll see what I can do but I'm still fighting the erge to start it ! It's really tempting ......
May I suggest making a 'Panzerturm' bunker for your KV-1 turret if you don't feel like using it for this tank? Your skills with terrain building are amazing, and a turreted bunker would look really cool on the tabletop!
That's a cool idea. I do want to use the turret for the tank, but maybe a bunker could be built so that the turret could be removed and interchangeable with the tank. Interesting idea.
thanks for this video helped me build my KV2 as I got it on ebay without any instructions etc
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Also I found the painting video pretty good too :-) do they do a Sturmtiger in the same scale?? or a T95??
I'm pretty sure Warlord does a Sturmtiger in resin. Not sure of the quality of it... I don't know of any T95 models in 28mm off the top of my head but you might be able to find something out there. I'm pretty sure neither are available in plastic.
I'd love to have a plastic Sturmtiger. T95 would be nice too.
Enjoyed the video Herbert. It helps with the stress that I have. And really a New Zealand jab really?
While I enjoy your unboxings and builds , I wish you would comment more on how accurate the kit is . For instance , there are 2 pistol ports missing on the KV II turret . Also the internal hatch details are upside down compared to the real thing . On the KV I , they molded the AA machine gun ring to the hatch , that's why the hole in the KV I turret is larger than the KV II . Only way to model this tank with the hatch open is cast the parts in resin . The guys designing these kits might know CAD but they don't know tanks
Whoa, you helped me in correcting theese mistakes.
Many thanks, man!
God, what were the soviets thinking when they made the KV-2? What a lovable abomination of a vehicle
They were probably thinking "more gun is more glorious for make dead of more German"
Это осадное орудие а не танк в привычном смысле. Когда его придумывали, предполагали что будут наступать а не защищаться, а вышло наоборот 😅
You are correct, those are Finnish markings.
Great 👍
I am not a fan of a KV-1 or KV-2. But this kit looks great. Your video leaves me sad for not having more hobby money. 😒
yes a lok in to and might get will see others
funny fact , the 'Tank commander' is actually the KV-1 loader , the commander doesn't have a commander's hatch , I would like to see you guess where he is located
Is it outside of the tank?
Heh , no , it's on the right side of the turret where the coaxial MG is located
The build went well, though I wish you'd use the tank commander figure. When is the painting video? Keep having fun.
Bill
I'll do a painting video sometime soonish™
i missed this xD
Would like to see this after you painted it
KV-2 will always be stronk tenk
Yea boiii
great vid Herbert, I bought that kit too and I agree the cards are cool but the writing is so small it negates the " ease of use" of them, I couldnt read the print it's so small
That didn't occur to me. I can read them fine, but you're right, the font IS pretty small.
I love the KV-1 tank however KV-2 is derp tank
I wonder what would happen if a kv2 shot a potato.
Vapourised potato I would guess.
I don’t know about a kv2 but my grandfather during his national service put a potato in the gun of a Daimler armoured car and fired it out..... the result was not pleasant.
I dont think a potato would survive a 152mm HE shot into the face.. just my opinion
Russian Empire music playing with Soviet tank, ultimate "derp"
The swastika is indeed the Finnish swastika (called "hakaristi" in finnish, and it has nothing to do with Nazi Germany).
my view was the 696th view... heuheuheuheu... 69...
Kv2 = potato gun
