You may want's to upgrade to 12 gauge if your ride like me.
Shoutout to @Area13ebikes , He dyno tested both motors on this bike!

You seem to have a clear understanding of the physics involved in using 2 wheel drive vs using rear wheel drive only...and you are able to clearly communicate that to your viewers. Kudos to you.
Your videos are so entertaining. I always watch them on my lunch break.
I have this same bike, color and all. I love it, but I’m currently waiting on a new front wheel and motor because of a freak accident with the front wiring. I can’t wait to get back on the bike again.
I’m sold. Watching this, I forgot all other e-bikes!
That was pretty entertaining, And informative. That's a Really good idea that's too long in coming.I'm glad someone threw down the gauntlet and built a Real 'trail bike' for we who dare go further than the rest.Thanks.I'll be checking their sight.
Glad you enjoyed it. Every time I look at these clear cut fields now I can say "bring it on baby!"
thats awesome,, goes through anything it looks like
Thanks for the ride that thing is a beast💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🫡
Best Mooncool video I've seen,, great job. Love mine, I broke my pelvis, so I don't don't pedal either
5:25 nice cut disolve
Hey Hover, are you going to build a trail bike with the chainsaw hybrid? I'd love to see that. I know you've been getting into the electric bikes lately and I get that. Just I like seeing you build stuff, port motors etc. And seeing how well they work, or don't work. Thank you for the video
For what it's worth...it's been my experience that SOMETIMES... FRONT wheel drive ONLY works better than AWD in certain slowly moving, off road tight turns. I think this is because with even with AWD, the rear wheel drive is STILL pushing against the direction that the front wheel drive is pulling...but of course, overall, AWD is by far the best...as you said. "No going back."
Great video. You’re giving me the e-bike bug.
Nice Brother can’t wait to take my e bike out for the first ride 💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🫡
Imma need one now 😅
Thing was a beast!
Sweet video
From the title ... I thought u got stuck or something broke... and u couldn't go back home 😂
Haha jk .. seems like a fun bike!!
Good stuff
The Nutcracker Bike 😂
Nice review! 👍
lol yup. And thank you :)
Now you need a hybrid 2 wheel drive bike that self charges with a small alternator geared to the gas engine
I might make my OCC Stingray into a 2-wheel drive electric in the front gas in the back.
Any updates on the v2 80/100cc? Have you windowed the piston yet? My bevel gears gave way at 300ish miles. Caused a ring to snag on the exhaust port and scuffed everything up a bit. Or vise versa. It may be fixable with work, my replacement supposed to be here tomorrow.
Hey LA Hover. I have been thinking about making a dual motor electric hub drive front wheel on a thumb throttle, and a two stroke engine on the bike as well, and have the thumb throttle next to my twist so i can just add a little front wheel power by pushing the thumb while twisting my wrist. if that makes sence. basically a hybrid electric and two stroke bike.
I have 4 awd bikes with only the 3 throttle wires joining front and back wheel. This gets you home if you lose a motor or battery.
Would a torque sensor work better than the cadence sensor when you are crawling really slowly and don't want too much power?
hopefully the velotric nomad 2 will have two wheel drive. Already invested alot in their batteries.
Will you be getting/interested in the avenger 85???
When you have the 2 batteries hooked up, do the both work simultaneously or can you pick which battery to use?
When both batteries are hooked up, they work simultaneously, with the bike draining power from both at an equal rate. However, you have the option to unplug the external battery if you want to save it for later use. When you reconnect the external battery, the bike's electronics will prioritize draining the battery with the highest charge first. This strategy ensures that the internal battery isn't further drained until both batteries reach equal voltage levels.
Thanks.
Time for you to build an electric/2-stroke hybrid :D
That's what I'm thinking...Take a well built 2 stroke bike & add 750w front hub motor kit..Use a fast 52mm 2 stroke with fwd motor. So it's 100% street legal in E mode. Or a modded to go faster, phatmoto type 4 stroke build with 750w fwd motor kit.....The automatic clutch/no clutch lever, might be better with the dual throttle hybrid setup.
Like what I built czcams.com/users/shortskqIPiOYM3ug?feature=share
Does the throttle BYPASS the gearing system? If it does, could you turn it into a "single speed" and not worry about the derailleur breaking?
When you're not pedaling, you have full power available via the throttle. However, once you start pedaling, the bike disregards the throttle and provides power based on your chosen level of PAS (Pedal Assist System). The bike's performance isn't affected by the physical gearing or shifter, so you can easily convert it into a single speed if desired. Additionally, by unplugging the cadence sensor, the bike will no longer override the throttle when you pedal. This action disables PAS, requiring you to use the throttle to engage the motor. It's worth noting that this may trigger an error warning on the HUD, but it shouldn't affect the bike's operation.
@@LAHover Got it. Thanks.
The MC3 is a great bike, but the freewheel CANNOT be removed. 5 times I asked Mooncool about this problem and they keep putting me off.
eyy, fellow southern moto enthusiast! Subscribed. Shoot a message if you're ever in the Cenla area! Got a modified little pk80 as a daily and about to work on a 79 predator cruiser build.
So Kool
Sweet vid. How would something like this handle intermediate to difficult 4×4 trails? Off roading my daily driver is getting too expensive.
I was floating the idea of building out a KLX300 to bomb some trails with friends that I totally have, but if I can get a similar experience for a quarter the price AND NO SERVICE INTERVAL, then I'm changing my tune.
youll have more fun on the klx300 just avoid the 1997 model year it has a faulty kickstarter gear
Two different animals, when it comes to low speed trail rides the MC3 would have an edge. But for higher speeds and longer range the KLX will have the advantage.
@LAHover OK, that's really good to know. I'm excited for your extended review!
How do you not get a flat going through all those bushes?
Big tires and low PSI, still happens from time to time so I carry a patch kit.
😛
I know you are a large/tall person, but that bike looks small for you. Does it come in sizes?
They claim it to be good for 5'8" - 6'2" riders, at 6'4" I'm a bit tall for it. Sadly it's the only size they have. The step through frame may be better for shorter riders.
I'll be swapping out the bars and adding a suspension seat post to help.
I seen u running an rc car.. is that another hobby of yours?? I have an rc addiction myself.. what rc car is that??
