They plotted together, she upgraded only she & her to first class on a group trip, they slapped 5 about being the only “true” residents of Potomac. It was only after she and Charisse fell out and she left the show did she realise she doesn’t have friends and tried to make nice with the other ladies. Monique is a damn phony

And Karen is actually my fav but she was definitely caught in some lies this season that she ran from every time. Karen is not old or senile, she should be held accountable like everyone else. She's in her 50's just like Gizelle and no one makes excuses for her. Monique clearly stated that she wanted to ice out Candiace but it backfired on her and she was the one that ended up being iced out. I'm still trying to figure out what Monique had to violently "defend" herself from when she's had smoke for that girl all season and touched her first with the hair flipping. l love Bondy's reviews but she's totally biased when it comes to them.

Didn’t Monique initially try to ice Candice out? Now she’s upset because it backfired? I’m sorry, I had the same experience as Mo growing up & I sympathize with her but I feel like grace needs to be extended for both of them. Monique wanted to team up with Gizelle even though it was GIZELLE who wanted to destroy her family. Then she made a song about beating up Candice. Her actions don’t make sense & I kinda feel like a lot of reviewers are missing that point.

Karen addressed Robin and brought her husband up. Did Robin have the right to Sock Karen? Come on. However, Candice and Monique were having a verbal altercation. Verbal. Once Monique took it upon herself to turn physical, that's when she crossed the line. As adults, you can't justify physical assault because someone is verbally sparring with you. As an adult, the stakes are much higher. you will not be sent to the Principal's office, you will be sent to JAIL. Candice has every right to cry, post stickies, seek therapy or whatever she needs to do. Monique has been unapologetic and downright defiant during the aftermath. Period. Childhood bullying is significant, but not an excuse to physically attack anyone. Now if Candice had hit her, and she beat her behind, then she's justified, but clearly Candice didn't touch her. Monique had the ability to walk her No Hips Don't Lie ass right out the door and leave! Periodtttt

Candiace was used as a tool and easily manipulated? I distinctly remember Giselle going to Monique about Candiace befriending Charisse and literally Monique not once called Candiace to have an adult conversation about it. She fell for the okie doke and was being used by Giselle and began insulting Candiace and picking fights with her at every event. That was very immature, passive aggressive and easily manipulated to me. After the altercation she thought those same women that she got in the dirt with was gonna have her back and they didn't. Monique has no remorse she's only hurt because her so called new found friends once again played and showed her that they were never her friends to begin with. Everytime you see or hear Monique she's only hurt about her status in the group nothing else!

Gizelle and Robyn don’t even like Candice. They take soooo many cheap shots. They are going so hard for Candice bc of Gizelle’s imagined beef with with Monique. I already know next season they’re throwing her under the bus.
Same with Karen and Ashley...Karen saw the fight and she refrained from going in on Monique because that would mean that she and Gizelle would be on the same side.
We all know the grand dame doesn’t like violence which is why she told Candiace that she herself would file charges.

@@RNM-bu4rj you do know that we’ve actually seen the episodes with our own eyes. Karen did tell Monique that she was wrong. I don’t understand how you can watch the episode and still not see her literally say those words (they’ve also replayed it multiple times). It seems like the girls want her to scream at Monique or ice her out, that is the only reaction that the girls will accept as “holding someone accountable”. I don’t understand how chastising her in front of the whole group isn’t enough when Karen wasn’t involved in the interaction.
Neither Karen or Candace said that Karen brought up the idea of litigation. Candace asked her what she would do if it had happened to her and she answered that she would do the same thing, she didn’t advise Candice to do anything. That doesn’t mean that she’s less of either of the girls friends, it just means that if she were in that situation that’s what she would’ve done. She also would not have been begging somebody to drag her.
I agree Ashley doesn’t like Candace, their past has been tumultuous, and that’s both of their faults. Ashley doesn’t have to like Candice, she actually went out of her way on more than one occasion to show her that she doesn’t align with her so this isn’t a secret, but I think she’s not extreme with it because Gizelle and Robyn are aligning themselves with Candice right now and Ashley really wants still to fit in with them. I don’t know about stabbing Monique in the back though, I don’t see any info foreshadowing that, they seem to be pretty close.

The fact that Juan was never open to therapy before but is now is a sign of growth. Let’s not act like getting married at 26 isn’t young. Couple that with the well documented pressures of making it to the league, losing both his adoptive parents at a young age, Robyn building a wall up could have triggered his abandonment issues. That therapy session was very telling of how codependent Robyn and Juan are of each other. I can’t say whether he’s in love with her or not because I’m not him, but I feel like they still haven’t fixed the things that went wrong in the first marriage. They have a lot more therapy sessions to get through before they walk down the aisle again.
