My thing with Kandi is she plays like she was a better friend to Phadera than Phadera was to her. I think Kandi was upset that Phadera took her feelings to Nene instead of her and I remember her telling Phadera that Nene would be quick to tell her secrets and she wasn't really a true friend, and her goes Kandi airing out her ex best friends laundry. I don't get why Kandi thinks people don't catch Phadera shady ways, we watch and see it but we also see Kandi talking with her little gang and co signing their bullshit while trying to go on like she don't think the same way. I think people like Phadera more because it's a bit more comical whereas with Kandi it seems a lot more malicious and bitter.

I don't see Phaedra as fake, but professional. Reality TV gets a lot of people fucked up. This is their office. You can't walk into your office and tell your co-workers exactly how you feel just because you see them and take away from what they were being called there for. And clearly the one who left the dinner the night before was the one bothered; she was still talking about it the day after with Kenya and Cynthia, but she turned around hugged Phaedra right back. Minutes before you walked in, I"m talking shit about you- but then you come up and hug me and I pretend we're all cool. If I have that much of a problem with you, we're not hugging. I'd have waved her off the same way Nene did Marlo at Peter's Jamaican birthday party thing a couple of seasons ago. So if we're going to say Phaedra was fake for hugging her, let's talk about Kandi being fake for hugging her back. Seeing as how it was the day after, I don't think Phaedra knew that Kandi was going around gossiping about their meeting to all of the other ladies. Yet, the minute Kandi finished doing it with Kenya and Cynthia, she turned around and hugged Phaedra.

Love the review. You were spot on about how Phaedra does go behind the scenes and do things to hurt people. Nene said it on one of the reunions 'you never can win when you're dirty' because it was revealed then, that Phaedra went to Nene's half sister(s) looking for dirt. The main difference I see between Kandi and Phaedra's situation is that Kandi is willing to be more outright and more vulnerable about things between them two. If I were Kandi, I'd keep my mouth closed while on camera (like Phaedra does) whenever something comes up about Phaedra; because it is making Kandi look some type of way. Also, in a weird way, I believe Phaedra wanted to rekindle her friendship with Kandi when she invited her to eat. Her method of introducing that came off wrong when she began talking about Kandi's mom first. That would put anyone on the defense.
Phaedra cut Kandi to the white meat. That was so wrong but there are lessons to be learned. Don't ever tell your personal business to anyone. Go to therapy where your business is confidential and cannot be told. Including a court of law!

Kandi seemed disloyal once Appollo and Phaedra broke up. It was clear that Todd was on Appollo's side and Kandi followed suit. I think that was the beginning of the end of the "friendship".

This is the deal with Kandi and Phaedra...if you go back two seasons ago when Apollo was going to prison, there were a few scenes at the beginning of the season where Kandi went to visit Phaedra at her home and asked her how things were going to between her and Apollo (when she knew Phaedra was already seeing somebody else and couldn't wait for Apollo to go to jail). In true Phaedra fashion, she would sit there contort her face, suck back her words and nod her head. Then she would go into her confessionals and insinuate that she doesn't understand why Kandi keeps asking about her personal business with Appollo (REWATCH THE SEASON IT'S THERE). Kandi reached a point where she gave up trying to discuss Phaedra's situation with her because she knows Phaedra doesn't like to share her business (not to mention, she had a lot of her own issues to tend to that season). Then, later in that same season, Phaedra decides to sit down and cry crocodile tears with Nene (she chose Nene specifically - very coniving) about Kandi not being there for her during her divorce. Kandi was blind-sided when Phaedra started going around complaining about her disappointment with her (with Nene of all people). Kandi had to know that Phaedra was a coniving fraud, but she never thought that Phaedra would turn on her and throw her under the bus for a storyline. Kandi only confirmed the "Chocolate" situation, because she's trying to clear her name as being a bad friend. She knew that Phaedra was seeing Chocolate when she was claiming to be so hurt over Apollo going to jail and Kandi not being there for her. In order for Kandi to defend herself against Phaedra's LIES, she has to reveal the entire situation. Phaedra should have NEVER thrown her friend under the bus for a story line knowing all along that she was telling lie after lie and Kandi was keeping so much of her DIRT. Also, let's remember when Apollo showed up at Phaedra's her house that day for his stuff, he said "you got all these people fooled". LOL Kandi was a friend to Phaedra, but Phaedra was NEVER a friend to Kandi.

A few seasons back when the group went to Puerto Rico with Demetria and Phaedra kept coming for Demetria until Demetria finally shut her down - Phaedra when to her room (and the producers indicated it was 4 a.m.) Phaedra was talking to somebody on the phone about what went down on the trip and then the conversation started getting real intimate. Later on, "Mr Chocolate" was referred to throughout that season. Everybody was wondering WHO Mr. Chocolate was. And the next season, remember the mortician proposed to Phaedra on camera. So Kandi wasn't really spilling tea...it was public knowledge. It would have been "tea" if she had revealed WHO Mr. Chocolate was. Or if she had revealed some dirty legal practices that she knows Phaedra is guilty of. Now, THAT woulda been "tea".

I don't see Phaedra as fake, but professional. Reality TV gets a lot of people fucked up. This is their office. You can't walk into your office and tell your co-workers exactly how you feel just because you see them and take away from what they were being called there for. And clearly the one who left the dinner the night before was the one bothered; she was still talking about it the day after with Kenya and Cynthia, but she turned around hugged Phaedra right back. Minutes before you walked in, I"m talking shit about you- but then you come up and hug me and I pretend we're all cool. If I have that much of a problem with you, we're not hugging. I'd have waved her off the same way Nene did Marlo at Peter's Jamaican birthday party thing a couple of seasons ago. So if we're going to say Phaedra was fake for hugging her, let's talk about Kandi being fake for hugging her back. Seeing as how it was the day after, I don't think Phaedra knew that Kandi was going around gossiping about their meeting to all of the other ladies. Yet, the minute Kandi finished doing it with Kenya and Cynthia, she turned around and hugged Phaedra.

Love the review. You were spot on about how Phaedra does go behind the scenes and do things to hurt people. Nene said it on one of the reunions 'you never can win when you're dirty' because it was revealed then, that Phaedra went to Nene's half sister(s) looking for dirt. The main difference I see between Kandi and Phaedra's situation is that Kandi is willing to be more outright and more vulnerable about things between them two. If I were Kandi, I'd keep my mouth closed while on camera (like Phaedra does) whenever something comes up about Phaedra; because it is making Kandi look some type of way. Also, in a weird way, I believe Phaedra wanted to rekindle her friendship with Kandi when she invited her to eat. Her method of introducing that came off wrong when she began talking about Kandi's mom first. That would put anyone on the defense.
Phaedra cut Kandi to the white meat. That was so wrong but there are lessons to be learned. Don't ever tell your personal business to anyone. Go to therapy where your business is confidential and cannot be told. Including a court of law!

This is the deal with Kandi and Phaedra...if you go back two seasons ago when Apollo was going to prison, there were a few scenes at the beginning of the season where Kandi went to visit Phaedra at her home and asked her how things were going to between her and Apollo (when she knew Phaedra was already seeing somebody else and couldn't wait for Apollo to go to jail). In true Phaedra fashion, she would sit there contort her face, suck back her words and nod her head. Then she would go into her confessionals and insinuate that she doesn't understand why Kandi keeps asking about her personal business with Appollo (REWATCH THE SEASON IT'S THERE). Kandi reached a point where she gave up trying to discuss Phaedra's situation with her because she knows Phaedra doesn't like to share her business (not to mention, she had a lot of her own issues to tend to that season). Then, later in that same season, Phaedra decides to sit down and cry crocodile tears with Nene (she chose Nene specifically - very coniving) about Kandi not being there for her during her divorce. Kandi was blind-sided when Phaedra started going around complaining about her disappointment with her (with Nene of all people). Kandi had to know that Phaedra was a coniving fraud, but she never thought that Phaedra would turn on her and throw her under the bus for a storyline. Kandi only confirmed the "Chocolate" situation, because she's trying to clear her name as being a bad friend. She knew that Phaedra was seeing Chocolate when she was claiming to be so hurt over Apollo going to jail and Kandi not being there for her. In order for Kandi to defend herself against Phaedra's LIES, she has to reveal the entire situation. Phaedra should have NEVER thrown her friend under the bus for a story line knowing all along that she was telling lie after lie and Kandi was keeping so much of her DIRT. Also, let's remember when Apollo showed up at Phaedra's her house that day for his stuff, he said "you got all these people fooled". LOL Kandi was a friend to Phaedra, but Phaedra was NEVER a friend to Kandi.

I totally agree with you Bondi....Kandi is justified. Actually, Kandi didn't really spill any tea on Phaedra. Viewers already knew about everything Kandi said. A few seasons back when the group went to Puerto Rico with Demetria and Phaedra kept coming for Demetria until Demetria finally shut her down - Phaedra when to her room (and the producers indicated it was 4 a.m.) Phaedra was talking to somebody on the phone about what went down on the trip and then the conversation started getting real intimate. Later on, "Mr Chocolate" was referred to throughout that season. Everybody was wondering WHO Mr. Chocolate was. And the next season, remember the mortician proposed to Phaedra on camera. So Kandi wasn't really spilling tea...it was public knowledge. It would have been "tea" if she had revealed WHO Mr. Chocolate was. Or if she had revealed some dirty legal practices that she knows Phaedra is guilty of. Now, THAT woulda been "tea".

I think they're both wrong. We all know Phaedra is a liar. We all know she is full of shit. But so is Kandi. Why not attack Phaedra's businesses? Tell people not to go to her for their legal needs. I still think Kandi never got over Phaedra being friends with Nene.

I have been saying this from the beginning. Timing maybe off and kandi "outing Phaedra " seemingly from nowhere seems mean and shady. We have to remember for the past couple of seasons kandi approached phae to talk to her and phae ALWAYS gave kandi the " no we are good". However went to others and said how she really felt. That's just as hurtful and disloyal. I get keeping secrets I get it. But I feel kandi could have said a whole lot more than what she did. I don't dislike Phaedra but she is cagey and do a lot of dirt. One of my biggest pet peeves is when a someone has an issue with me can tell everyone else but me. Kandi didn't say as much as she could have said and held on to everything she knew only to this point. Phaedra been fake as f to kandi and kandi is done.
