That's how they all start out until they start pulling in big boi views and sub counts. Then the sponsorships come, you start making real bank. Then you go improve your equipment, you start looking at your analytics more, what kind of content brings in the views that bring in the money. You start playing a character for the content more and more until the authenticity is lost. Before you know it, he's just another bland youtuber careerist instead of a hobbyist and the appeal is lost. Either that or he gets bored before he makes it big and quits.

21:42 The Cave Dweller spawning AI does not require light. It runs on a timer. 5 minutes underground is his spawn interval. From there he will occasionally appear and respawn at different locations. He basically has 3 AI's: Stalking, cowardess, rage. Staring at him can have a chance of safety but so can looking away which does a coinflip to determine if he'll enter cowardess, or rage. In rage, he attacks you head on, in cowardess he either disappears or runs away then despawns. Even if you kill him though, the cavedweller brain AI will eventually respawn him in the next 5 minutes. Finding ways to strip mine from bedrock to the surface in under 5 minutes... is most optimal...

@@justseffstuff3308 Nah, this thing runs on a dedicated B.R.A.I.N., which is a sophisticated multi layered AI brain. It would probably just spawn a block above the slabs due to it's scripting. One thing it cant do is climb vertically, so if you build 3 blocks high, it can't reach you. Add a ladder though? He has no problem reaching you.
Well the most optimal thing to do would be to not download the mod if you're just going to avoid engaging with it until you're too overprepared for it to matter

I want to add something to this. The temperture makes you play a bit diffrent and keeps you foccused on the wrong thing, making it easier to get jumpscared. It works really well with the 'horror' altough it has nothing to do with it.

You should add the bloodmoon mod, the bloodmoons rise every so often in place of a regular moon, and with them comes a massive increase of enemies in the surrounding shadows. In addition to the obvious problems, sleeping to skip the night is disabled

I just realized something, since this guy is in a cave biome, does that mean the cave dweller can spawn above ground, is it set to spawn below a certain y level?
i think it depends on where he is, yes the biome is a cave biome but he is several blocks above sea level (which is around 63 if i recall correctly in minecraft) so it may be that the dweller does spawn on surface or it may be that it depends on heights too

It’s already been said by numerous people, but dude, I seriously can’t stress enough just how comforting and nostalgic these videos are. I stumbled upon part 1 a few nights ago, and it was the most fun I’d had watching a Minecraft video in a hot minute man. Spent the next hour trying to find more videos that captured the vibe, and eventually sadly realized that they just don’t really exist anymore.

Would kinda have the issue of the dripstone caves mobs being everywhere, which would probably get extremely tedious to deal with and incredibly lethal when underground due to the hanging dripstone everywhere.

I find this fascinating because it makes me nostalgic both by having the cozy elements of building nice, home-y structures, like the glass dome and farm you're making, while also instilling the sense of fear that early (youth) Minecraft playing brought, which here of course is amplified immensely.
Yeah, playing Minecraft back in 2009-2010 was the few moments where i felt fear and excitement. Fear because of the render distance being low to be able to run on our shitty laptop, which also meant fog, as well as the stories of Herobrine going around and The Yogscast's Israphel, combined with just the fact that Minecraft was a different, harder game back then. It was all just perfect.

I somehow vividly remember one of my first times playing, where I dug myself down on a beach during the night and all of a sudden I heard the straw-slurping sounds of a Spider (did not know how they sounded back then). I was pretty petrified as I knew sand would collapse and expose me, so I was just sort of stuck there for many minutes, deeply unsettled. This would not happen today, but back then, it was so memorable.

I remember watching old minecraft series's where the world was barren. Playing vanilla with just a dripstone cave is somehow even more apocalyptic looking. These two videos have honestly brought back a lot of memories like that and this content is really refreshing (specifically with this just being simple unlike the exhausting hardcore videos nowadays), keep up the good work.

Lived on an island for a ton of time while I was building my home and felt perfectly safe, but the moment I finished the house, only being in the house felt safe, and the cliffside where I previously felt safe now was worrying me.
Even in a normal playthrough I had times like that. Especially when i mined a section of a mountain to make a house in it. While I was building it I was feeling safe. When I finished, I felt safe only inside my house, when I close the door

You should eventually make checkpoints around your base where you can get emergency food, armour, and heat in case something happens and you need to flee your base because of a mod or something.

21:58 The cave dweller has different spawning conditions, light level only matters for surface spawns if you have that enabled, otherwise he always spawns right outside of 16 blocks from you on a block that cannot see the sky, and also his spawning checks to see if there's a clear path to your exact location too. so you can't even get lucky and have him spawn in an enclosed separated space either.

The parasite mod is crazy. It starts slow and becomes worse as you go if you dont act against the infection. It will spread and mutate into stronger creatures. And they look scarry af.

@@jxla_ if you arent to good at the game that will happen. But yes its hard af. Might not be optimal for a long time series but you can reach 100+ days relatively easy even on hardcore if you follow some security and preparatiln steps. Could take a few attempts tho. Theres a different herobrine mod wich is allot better imo than the From the Fog one. Forge labs used it in this 100 day vid but stopped playing because he got too scared and nervous. I think Farmer's Delight mod would be useful to you AND it would offer some cool additions that aren't too overwhelming. I think it's a good idea mainly because it makes gathering simpler but if you just want to gather without having to replant, there's always the Reap mod.
What about the Pam's Harvest Craft mod?
