Hey thrite, if you mind some advice:
From what I've noticed in the previous chapters, all what Herobrine did was stalking you and dissapear when you spotted him. *You might have forgot to install the data pack that came within From the Fog.*
He was supposed to do a lot of scary stuff like:
-Jumpscaring you/crash the game (depending on the setting) if you got to close.
-Break torches
-Appear in the form of a faceless Steve or a Sculk Herobrine, besides his default appearance.
-And two moons instead of one would appear in the sky at night.
the game crashing part and torches breaking isnt very fair given its hardcore mode to be honest

i feel a lot of us started watching minecraft videos at a younger age, and now that we're older it's nice to find a content creator who isn't pandering content to children. the humor is funny, you aren't afraid to curse, and most importantly it feels genuine. looking toward to watch you and your channel grow man

@@Thr1te in the mean time, while configuring my modpack I noticed in the config that soul fire should have a cooling effect, my pack is in 1.19.2 though so depending on what version you are on this may or may not be active by default in the config.
Regarding the whole terraforming thing; a big draw of this series in particular for me is the fact that you're taking this desolate land and turning it into something beautiful. Anyone can make a hardcore series with "#spooky" mods and break the mic whenever they scream at the jumpscares. But you have this whole "perseverance in the face of adversity" theme going on, and you make the horror mods feel like part of the world instead of something to just jump at. Like, for example, the bird ambiance around your base. It just makes it feel really safe-- while the rest of the world slowly gets more horrifying, you'll always have your little mountain to go back to. I'm not sure how to explain it, there's just something about this series that's both comforting and interesting to me in a way that other series aren't. (Don't get me wrong, I loved Calvin's series because of the lore he had going on, but it was more entertaining than calming.)
I don't know, this is probably just me. But I know that if this series was about building a progressively safer and more beautiful base while the world around you gets more dangerous, well, I certainly wouldn't complain.

For your third Villager, you may want to look at getting a Shepherd. They can be a little tedious to upgrade given the situation you're in, but they have the potential to sell you wool blocks for emeralds. That alone will increase your villager breeding rate tremendously!
They also just straight up sell beds, which also makes it easier to get villagers
He has a loom in his breeding chamber, so that's what villager 3 is for.
And for the fourth he can get a leather worker, who I’m pretty sure can sell leather

Two things - You should install distant horizons (really, the extra view distance comes at no performance cost and would really sell just how desolate your world is), and I think you should also rename the series to "Surviving Minecraft's Scariest Mod**s**", since you've got a bunch of horror mods.

ive tried distant horizons and the lighting on the distant chunks doesn't really match the loaded chunks ion know if im doing something wrong but yeah that's that, as to the title change uhhhhh ill think about it, thanks for the suggestions

- Hardcore Darkness
-Nyfs spiders lil creepy grimbos can now climb on all surfaces
-Blood moon makes all of the goulies come out in large numbers
-Zombie awareness is one I personally use
-Doctor who weeping angles
-Jenny mod, very scary
-Man from the fog, trust me this one is pretty decent
-Cave dweller re-imagined makes the cave dweller a little more spooky

After testing the temp mod in my own world, going into the Neather turns into a whole other process. You really need the lantern thingy to even survive in there as the temperature goes to something insane like 180
Use Soul fire to keep yourself cold, also collect those blue fruit thingies that spawn in the Neather.
yeah i was messing around today in a test world and found out that soul fire makes getting blaze rods somewhat possible

Did you know you could duplicate dirt by turning two and two gravel into four coarse dirt, and then mining them with a non-silk-touch shovel ? Apparently, gravel is more frequent in your world than dirt.

You'd need to hoe the coarse dirt to convert into farmland before mining it, mining coarse dirt without silk touch still gives you coarse dirt.

An Idea to help with the Nether heat: You can actually place water inside a cauldron in the Nether. Going into the water could help you cool off, so bring cauldrons and buckets of water! Great vid!

@@regulargoat7259 I was gonna say frostwalker, but after looking into it, the ice frosted from the boots isn't the same as regular ice, and breaking it will give you nothing.
Besides cold biomes, they do generate in ancient cities tho.
This is the only minecraft singleplayer series that I'm enjoying. You're absolutely so entertaining. I love seeing this little base evolve. Bravo, broski :)

Carpet, Campfires, Sleeping, Eating well, and flower crowns are good ways to stave off insanity.
Starving, being close to hostile entities, taking damage and hiding in dark places are good ways to loose it big time...

Found part one a day or two ago, and I am so thankful. these videos feel actually human, its refreshing from the robotic content on CZcams that gets chewed up and spat out over and over.
A mod I personally think you should definitely add to this series is "The Man From The Fog". similar name to from the fog, however its not a Herobrine mod.
The Man From The Fog (aka. Night Dweller) is very similar to the Cave Dweller, in that they have similar appearances and behaviours, but the Night Dweller comes out at night... on the surface. its updated to 1.20.1 so it would fit perfectly.

Not sure if it works in this biome, but you can spawn bees by planting tree saplings next to flowers. Honey and wax are always a nice addition to one's repertoire.
