I love how the more mods he adds, Herobrine becomes less and less scary and just more of an annoyance.

Iirc, there's a setting which Herobrine can actually grief your builds by burning them down, but it's disabled by default.
Then when he starts focusing on something like running away, due to the fact that herobrine isnt a nuisance no more or when he just does not appear for a while and you start getting used to him, thats when he strikes and jumps you harder than ever💀

A very interesting side effect of the Man From the Fog here is that Descent Into Madness doesn't have actual implementation with it to obliterate sanity when he despawns during combat; instead, one of the triggers for lowering sanity is being struck by lightning, which reduces it all the way. Man From the Fog strikes lightning both when he spawns and despawns, so being within one block of his despawning means the sanity creatures come out right after.

When i was 5 i always played xbox 360 and this music played all the time. i remember waking up and hearing this or falling asleep too it. i teared up instantly man :( i still remember my world i sheared with my 2 siblings. i was making Shiny gold and diamond sky bases and giant tower like houses. my sister made a boxing steve statue laying down with a cool blue water area inside, i think my older brother made a big mansion like house with multiple stories butni think it was my sis or bith of em. But it was never complete and it was a monster mansion lol. I was thr only one who played after. i just spent a big amount of time in my sister mooshroom villige next too the snow mob arena i made. I had too keep replacing the snow cuz it was melting lol. I would do anything too do all of that again. that was all on a 360 at my nans house. she died of cancer in 2016 and the xbox malfunctioned and broke down. burnt on the inside. that world is gone for all i know. BUT My older brother still has the same account on his xbox one. i hope that there is a way too find it once again.

I know this episode was about the night dweller, but Herobrine was the star for me. He looks so goofy like 90% of the time, but just when you've forgotten about him, the sound crescendos and his glowing eyes appear. That moment at 35:15 made me jump more than any of the night dweller appearances.
i was rewatching the video before i made it public just to make sure i didnt make any editing mistakes and that shit made me jump too

Fact though, i didn't notice Herobrine was there, i didn't know what triggered the sound effect until i saw this comment, it really startled me because i am focused on Thrite avoiding those dark figures then bro suddenly just appeared with a damn horrible sound effect
appreciating the sunset was such a genuine and calming moment, in contrast with how chaotic your humour can feel at times it was amazing
we rarely stop to appreciate just how comfy this game is. the sounds, the sunsets, the music.

This series is so fun. It genuinely felt like the world got a bit lighter when the bees appeared, and when you went and freed the bee I was muttering "this is a _mistake"_ to myself. The horror intrudes like horror ought to: randomly and outside your control. Sure, you're in your safe wee bubble. But the sounds and the insanity doesn't respect walls. How much can you guarantee you've kept out?
It's genuinely a better and more engaging story than most TV shows that try for that because getting genuinely interrupted in the middle of a task is really difficult to get right.
And like. You made lightning in a bottle with the series idea, sure. But it's your presentation that made it into a light show worth watching.

I was constantly anxious throughout this whole episode that you were gonna die, and this would be the final one. Especially in the last 2 minutes when you weren't sure if you had killed him or not. It's like when in a show there's 5 minutes left, and it looks completely over for the main character, but then they pull some last-minute stunt and survive. Absolute banger.

Honey is actually fairly useful. It's a decent food source restoring 6 hunger and provides a similar effect to drinking milk (it only removes poison effects though), you can also craft it into sugar for brewing, and blocks for redstone.

Honey can also be used to keep mobs from jumping over your fences. Very useful for farms and trading halls.
It's hilarious how badly all of the dripstone messes with all the mobs' pathfinding.
I think getting some copper for a lightning rod might be really useful for fighting the Night Dweller. Maybe his drops were melted by the fire from the lightning strike?

This series is really fun so far, I vibe with the mix of calmer grindwork with the occasional thriller-atmosphere. For bees, their path finding sometimes breaks on the way back to their hive; can’t advise much, but if it’s not too farmy, putting them in their own glass dome might keep them contained and alive.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates the Minecraft sunsets and music :)

Dunno why this reminds me of an older era of Minecraft content so much compared to nowadays but I miss this style and hope these types of series that use to be abundant comeback more, this series has been great.
Idea: try getting rid of the dripstone stalagmites to not only stop mobs from getting stuck, but also to prevent them from hiding, and you could also use the extra dripstone to make traps around the area so mobs die easier

If you wanted spiders to spawn you'd just have to remove a few Stalagmites outside, they need a 2x2 area to spawn, which is uncommon with the abundance of spikes

I actually kind of have an idea for another series! Instead of the single biome dripstone, try the single biome of the deep dark or skulk caves. It's pretty cool and spawning trees is possible so it should work. It might be similar to this one but you could probably mix in some mods like this to make it cooler! There are no mobs, but ancient cities do spawn so wool is obtainable

Thrite, let me give you a little tip about enchantments, and that's the fact that enchantments on gold tools, weapons, and armor tend to be a lot better. And this matters because those enchantments are saved for the respective weapon, armor, and tool. So you can put a gold sword for example, that enchantment is saved, and you put it on the diamond sword.
