@Vicki Michel they got rid of wood shop? Honestly one of my favorite classes. I actually got put in twice because of some mistake, made me a tray table I still use.
@@BlackLung87 they're on backwards on purpose. The box that the frame sits on will prevent the hangers from failing, its most likely stronger like this anyhow since the box section and upside-down hangers would pull/push against each other.
I’m definitely building this bed. If you put up plans it will save me a dozen trips to the hardware store to repair my screwups. I also have another kid on the way so your nursery video is great. For the first we did a Texas theme. Worked well. (Wife’s from San Antonio) Best and merry Christmas.

To do this project once for your better half is amazing. I really want to show this to my Mrs but I know what’s next ( I ❤️it, I want it )😂 bit cheeky the new owner requested the bed stay. I mean would a bed really have been the deal breaker, only joking it is amazing. I bet 2nd time around it took you less time to construct but with a better finish. I love the headboard and floating bedside tables. Being able to get the vacuuming done without have if you move a unit is 👍🏻. Great work buddy I’m sure you got many gold stars from the Mrs
My wife saw a video with a floating bed and then started bugging me to buy one. As I am a cheap o I drove to homedepot bought the material and locked her out garage for 2 weeks. Got some tools out of the deal and built one and stained it myself she loves it and had nothing to say about buying some tools as it was cheaper than buying a bed. Moral is use your hands and you will be able to buy more tools to build all the things she wants

Now that's one badass bed good job I love natural wood it's always better than that particle s*** that they sell in storage now that stuff you buy from a store now if it gets wet or you leave a cup on the surface it starts to warp now these stores try to sell you expensive stuff and it's not good quality

Size would be depending on the bed size obviously and wood mostly depends on what Lowe's or home depot got in stock for most people..last but not least that's not wood working at all its called ruff framing.. What is etc etc? It's really that straight forward but i bet you're the type that never swung a hammer before and i bet you can't even read a tape measure correctly
@Gerald Green idk man it's not too hard. Just gotta try and fail on a couple things to get it right after that. I reckon someone with little to no experience could get this done if they had the right directions.
Nice work brother with the crazy cost of labor of these days when you buy furniture you have no idea what kind of finish or glue they use a lot of times they Ofgas very toxic materials so having control over what you’re sleeping on is good stuff coming from IKEA or shine or or whatever might be painted was very cheap industrial grade crap make you sick sleeping on it always watch what you’re putting on in and around You’re sleeping area I like the panel on the wall very cool I’m gonna steal it thanks bro
the bed will work it wasn’t mounted to the wall i don’t think i’m pretty sure it was a platform in the middle with sides that didn’t go all the way down and then he pushed it to the wall and connected it

Its just a bigger wooden frame sitting on a smaller wooden frame.. Its not a floating bed lmfao.. Its missing the floating hinges
