Building our floating bed took a total of 4 hours for the slatted frame and 14 hours for the bed frame.

$20 for a a couple of 12” bar clamps would have made life so much easier for you my friend. Very cool design though, great job!

The top is about 192 cm long and
the lower beam is about 110 cm long

As you can see in the video, some tools were used but mainly a drill screwdriver and a hand circular saw. Whereby a normal hand saw is also an advantage.

@@craftontime thank you, it was just to know the height of the frame.
@@FBINSA The beam of the frame has a width/height of 12cm.
The scaffold (beam width/height 10cm) on which the frame is placed is 50cm high but you can design this individually.

You should simply put some fabric between wood on wood, then it won't be a problem at all 😁
What size is the wood 4x4 or 6x6?
The beam of the frame is 12 x 12cm and the scaffold beam is 10 x 10cm

Have you experienced any tipping issues while maybe sitting on the edge of the bed?
From my side there were no problems but I did not provoke it either ;)

Why do you have a sink in your bedroom?
The sink was already in the room when we bought the house. The question is rather what we make of it :D
why didnt you glue as you screwed ...you made this project take 3-4 times longer by doing everything mulitple times ...its a great job but times is of the essence
I thought screwing was the safe option.
It's true that the video could have been shorter but the experience wasn't there yet ;)

At best it is misleading to call this bed a floating bed when it is supported by the floor.
The whole idea is to create that illusion.
