In Germany you have to use safety ropes on ALL type of fixtures. They even have to be officially tested. Furthermore you can't put moving lights on tripods. You have to use at least four-legged stands
Can gig tell me where you got the metal bar that you used to screw into the heads and clamps
Good job man.
thx
like and subscribe
so it is safe to move the heads without causing any damage to the mechanisms and programming as long as they are off.
Yes your correct
What’s the name of that song 🎶 playing at the background?!
your lightstand is LS55 ?
Which movingheads are there
that truss holds those lights?? doesnt it wobble ?
It's doesn't wobble
Video is about... how not to setup moving heads :)
Hi great video and I thought I was hard..to put any moving heads on a truss..
just quick question what type truss are you using and where did you buy it from as wanting something similar how much
I dont recommend those personally, they bend with weight
@@RecioCulture which one do you recommend ?
Surprised the world didn't blow up because you were using adj clamps on a chauvet fixture
What do you mean? All people do that
How to hang Moving Heads.
Step 1: Ignore the maximum load for your truss.😅
Don't use zip ties to hold down cables, get yourself a roll of black/ grey lekkie. saves you so much time at the end of your show, just rip it off your truss
does it leave residue
It doesn't leave residue for short periods of time. You'd find that all the big touring shows uses roll and rolls of electrical tape and gaffa tape
I like to use Velcro.
you need to put on totem mode so it only faces the dance floor
i run them upside down on truss
Exactly....totem mode will work just as well if you hang them....just limits the pan tilt to a forward direction
Put them in Totem mode!
Way better show ....
why is totem mode better?
@@fedscame it points the light straight at the dance floor and not at the back
get some G clamps or quick release clamps, O clamps are a nightmare for moving lights
why are theay a nightmare?
before hanging those moving heads should already set
1:35 at least throw down a towel, you are gonna get that fixture scratched all up
Chauvet 355's programmed well are a great fitting. The advice a lot of people are trying to tell you is that (1) it appears running the dmx cable was a waste of time as the lights are not in any kind of synchronized show..... not even remotely close to it! (2) If you are not going to program them with a dmx controller you can use them in totem pole mode to keep all of the lights forward of the DJ booth or on one side of the lighting bar.... (preferably on the side of the room that dance floor is on at a real gig! ) (3) It would also be a good idea to learn how to edit the crappy parts out of your video PRIOR to posting it for the world to see. TMOA
get a good cameramen..
Pretty sure u just bought those lights to be stupid lol! The worst truss ever !
Don’t know why u ran a dmx cable lol
how not to connect moving heads? use white extension cords... smh
Is this a video of how NOT to hang and opperate moving heads and why run a dmx lead when your not using dmx, 11 minutes of my life wasted
A dmx cable is sometimes used to master slave your fixtures
@@BrandonLe621 wow. I see someone missed the point of that comment. the point he was making was that plugging in a DMX cable to make one the master and the other the slave was not necessary because the lights we're not actually making use of the Master slave connection. it looks like they were both either in independent sound active mode or playing back different pre programmed macros that come with the fixtures... that was the point of the comment...
but I think this guy was just testing out a Christmas present (and bossing around his brother).. so it makes sense to plug in the DMX cables to make sure they were communicating when testing them out
