Have you not used microfibers in the booth yet Gunny?
I got me some kirklands nice and cheap but good quality and I'll never use anything else now.
I quickly go over car before it goes in booth with normal degreaser with one of the normal panel wipe cloths and then with WB degreaser using 2cloth method with microfibers and you can use them more than a few jobs easy.
    Then 1 fibre as a tacky 👌

Why is it necessary to use a clear base coat to a blending surface before covering the repaired section with the base coat? I have a car door that has to be painted and blended to the front guard and rear door and the paint shop assistant said that the door had been painted with 2k , not clear over base, would it still be ok to paint over it with clear over base [ as the door looks a different shade] ?? I was also told that you can't spray base color over a surface that has been sprayed with a water born base coat???
Sorry for all the questions but I have only sprayed acrylic and enamel paints a life time ago [I said that pop will paint the door for my grand child] So any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards Steve.

Hey Gunman.. I have been using standoblue for about 6 years now. What I do for the plastic bumpers is once I clean it with the plastic cleaner you just lightly blow off all the little particles going from one end of the bumper to the other.. Works like a charm. Thanks for all the info on your videos.

I have heard people say those things before, so yeah, it's not the first time I've heard either of those things mentioned but personally I wouldn't do it, just sounds weird. But I've always said, if what you're doing isn't hurting me then I really couldn't care less, as long as they get the results they're after, then who am I to tell them how to do it.

If you've got the right gun, settings, and flash times you can easily lay coats like this. Seems most runs come from trying to add more and more clear without letting it flash. People do this to get rid of peel and dry spots they see in their first coat(s)
