Damn I've got my bosses GL350 to paint, didn't realise it was 3 stage, manufacturers love having a laugh at our expense.
There are times I hate you Gunny every time I use a colad cutter at some point it jams and tears and really pissed me off, so much so I am back to using a blade because it never fails. Love the colour though it came out niiiice

when you applied the white basecoat on the new door panel, i noticed that you had rubbed through to bare metel in places, should they be primed or are you ok to go straight over bare metal with the colour basecoat

NEED ADVICE PLEASE GUNNIES, IM PAINTING SOME DOOR MOULDINGS AND SOME OF THE EDGES HAVE GONE THROUGH TO PLASTIC DURING SANDING, SHOULD I PLASTIC PRIME THE EDGES ONLY AND THEN BASE OR PLASTIC PRIME, EPOXY AND THEN BASE?
when you painted the bumpers was there adhesion promoter and or flex agent added?

Another silly question to add to my extensive list... I used standard thinners to wash my gun out, but it melted my disposable nitrile gloves and flipping burnt! Am i using the wrong stuff to clean my gun? If not, do you know what gloves won't melt?
The Colad gloves you see me using are the strongest nitrile gloves I've ever used. They won't last forever but are much thicker than most gloves. It's a white car so why not use white primer
Yeah makes it super easy painting but some shopsget a little cheap only want to carry one primer. I only buy white and black primer so you can easily make any shade in between.
I just did a Honda CRV full respray, 3 Stage Pearl 2 x base , 1 and a half pearl came out nice but just wondering if 2 coats pearl would make a difference .
Every coat of pearl makes a difference... If you do a spray out there's a noticeable color difference between 1, 2, 3, or 4 coats.

GPi is the better gun, the GPi has the bigger fan
You get paid a flat rate gunny? Or an hourly? Im not asking you to share any numbers just just wondering i was in the business bigger part of my career it was always a flate rate unless i worked in restoration shop then it was hourly.

So the glue like substance that is on the door that is used to hold the thin piece of plastic on . Do u clean all off or just paint over it
He's painting a brand new door shell here so there's no gooy glue on it yet... But if it was a used door you can throw some tape over the glue so you'll be able to put your plastic on later.
