    Awesome run down! I was a little confused on how all three of these products work together. I typically use Reload every 60 days after my maintenance wash. I use Elixir as a final wipe/drying aid after every wash. So much gloss.

    My truck coatings, UK 3.0 and TiO2, have been on two years now. I just did a Lyft wash, Iron X, then Descale wash. The water spots are gone and what a renewed gloss. I then followed up with a Reload application. Wow!
    Now, I’ll use Echo as a drying aid and every fifth wash, or so, replace that with a one time use of Elixir.

    By mentioning the three different CarPro products together and demonstrating the application of Reload, I’m a bit confused on the surface prep for using Reload. I’m sure if I go back and rewatch the beginning of your video, I can figure it out, but that’s more work on my end. Maybe a quick summary at the end of your video would be helpful. It’s just a tad confusing when you throw in all three up front.

      Ech2o is a cleaner. Elixir cleans and protects, it will bond without the need for surface prep.
      Reload is pure protection, but requires a surgically clean (polished and prepped) paint.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thank you Mr Ek! That depends on the coating used. If you used CQUARTZ UK then 45~90 minutes depending on temperature. If you used CQUARTZ SiC then I would not use it until a future wash or time that you feel it needs it but you could use it next day if you wanted to. SiC is already slick though... no real need to apply it the next day after unless your driving in nasty elements during that first week.

    Does alcohol affect ceramic coatings? Say I applied UK 3.0 6 months ago. I was with a shampoo with no fillers, maybe do ironx and bugg off, then panel wipe with 99% IPA to degrease before reload. Does that work? Or is the IPA too harsh for UK 3.0. I don't want to shorten the life.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the great question! 99% IPA is too aggressive for paint and for coatings. You can use 50% alcohol or CARPRO Eraser safely. Most alcohol you purchase in the store is already cut 30%.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před 2 lety +1

      With the maintenance products, you can re-use cloths. Not like ceramic. Only downside is that products that repel water can make your towels less absorbent especially if you do not soak them right after.

    If you will apply Ceramic Coating in 2-3 weeks from today, is it a problem to use Reload of EliXir today?

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před 2 lety +2

      If you will apply CQUARTZ in 2-3 weeks then you will also be polishing in 2-3 weeks to prep for the Ceramic coating. So, adding Reload or Elixir today will cause more work in 2-3 weeks. No point to protect today if you are going to go through the full process in only 2 or 3 weeks from now.

    Hey, I have an uncoated car. Every time I wash my car, I use as drying aid a mix of echo2 and reload. I want to boost the gloss, can I use reload or hydro2 after this mix every 2 or 3 months?? Or should I buy elixir and use it either as drying aid or to improve the gloss( despite the fact it’s durable only for couple of weeks)

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Rap you can do any of the things you listed but based on your goals mentioned above I would do the following. Use Hydro2 or Hydrofoam every 3 months to boost the gloss. Then use Ech2o as a drying aid when you wash.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před rokem

      It is on sale because we cannot order the Reload 2.0 until we have a LOT less Reload than we currently have. So, yes they are related but our estimate is 2-4 months until Reload 2.0 comes out in the United States. We have not even ordered any yet due to the amount of stock we have of Reload 1.0.

    What have you noticed as far as water spotting with Reload when used as a stand-alone product? I used to use it years ago, loved it, but on three different cars (three different makes/paints) it always left water spots when it rained and the water dried. Is it any different on top of coatings? I'm tempted to give it another shot since its been about two years since I last used it.

    • @SkyCarCare
      @SkyCarCare  Před 2 lety +2

      Good question! Anything that is REALLY hydrophobic like Reload will leave "deposits" behind after the water evaporates because anything that was left in the water will be on the paint after the water is gone. So, if that is what you mean by water spots then yes. But if you mean spots that are etched into the paint and do not come off then I have not seen that issue with Reload. Still it is always possible no matter the protection that if you love somewhere with bad enough minerals getting on your car then it can certainly happen.
      P.S.You probably already know what I go over in this video but if not there is a bunch of info on what causes water spots, I go over that in this video CARPRO Descale! The Water Spot Eliminator! ◢◤ Sky's The Limit Car Care

      @@SkyCarCare I see what you mean, and see also how my comment may not have been the clearest. Thank you for commenting to both ways the comment could be interpreted. For clarification, I was referring a little more towards etching. I noticed the spotting occurred whether it was some sprinklers or rain water, and that ironically Reload would work on mild water spots that I got to quick enough (typically within a few days). I recall there was some times I had to acid wash my paint and glass to get the spots off, using 3D's water spot remover. And there was a time I had to polish the paint as well on one of the vehicles.
      Thanks for sharing all the information. I'll check out your other video. ✌
