We probably don't want to talk about this but.... the labor hours/dollars alone in the TT.........never mind cost of parts, not to mention the time to research......ok let's shift gears to the generosity behind the scenes.
Unless you've done a resto or heavy mod, a person cannot grasp the mental and physical toll it takes.
Dare I say, whoever won the car, please don't take it lightly. I promise I'm not sure I could do all that to turn around and give it away.
Ok yes, 'a youtube channel'. That doesn't change a thing, all the labor and stress is still very real.
Sarah, this is highly remarkable and extremely generous!

Sarah, the next time you need or want to strip something. check out Sunset strip from Webber tek. I work for Capital Aviation and this is what we use. no bad fumes and one application (spray it on) and let it set over night and them we use a power washer and it's down to bare metal. it will also not harm fiberglass or composites. the president of Capital Aviation invented sunset strip. Amazing stuff

Back around 1975... yea... I'm old... I stripped a 66 Corvette Stingray. In those days the only stripping agent out there was called Stripese. So I applied it, waited and low and behold the car turned from Maroon to gold! The Stripese only removed 1 layer of paint! So I did it again! And the next color was red! This car was 9 different colors and it took me a month to get them all off. Good thing I was already a heavy equip. mechanic and already knew enough cuss words to make it all the way through. Fun review.

You're such a badass!! It was difficult seeing the Tot leave. The guys I work with always tease me when I get sad to see some of the builds we do go home, so I understand completely! You put a lot of you in that car, and you know the new owner is going to LOVE him to death! Keep up the great work, and thank you for all you do!!

Love that you are fixing up an old Bug. I had a 73 or 74 Super Bug with three speed auto stick and 1600 motor and loved that car. A big bus T boned me in it and sadly beyond repair.

Love your tee shirt choice. Those characters were the highlight of every Saturday morning. You poured your heart and soul into Tater Tot and it shows. Great save of your camera.....Hope your head feels better.
