For those of you wondering, they're using Presto, their own in-house animation software.
Devin Walleck where i can download it?
Sr Pelo it's their own secret engine. not for the public. every big animation studio and also game studio have their own secret engine.
Devin Walleck they also probably use Maya or 3ds max?
it's their own secret sauce
they released renderman for free though, another in-house animation software of theirs, but it's non commercial use only :/
I'm disappointed this wasn't called "The Inside Out of Pixar animation"
Not Everything has to be in YOUR way..
BeHappy 1237 it’s a joke
Mako Matoi YES lol
We be seeing too many organs.
Good one!
Wow that's just breath taking, the movement, the design of the characters its all breath taking. its my dream to work at Pixar Studios, just amazing.
Maybe you will, I hope
I'm sure you will. Just keep animating.
My dream is to produce and voice act for dreamworks or Pixar
@@sakurachannel9624 That is my dream too!!!!
4 years later. I’m working at atomic cartoons... making my way up 😃😦
I don't why but at 2:55 the smiling anger cracks me up xD
He looks like a frog
Thanos
Bublbasur
My grandpa
Me whenever Friday comes up
I've always wondered how Pixar manages to make their 3D animation so elastic and flexible. My problem with 3D animation has always been the cringe inducing stiffness, but these guys seem to have no problem making it all as expressive as the best 2D animation out there.
It helps too have elucidian based solvers to give the models and better flow over all (that rubber kind o bending) etc ( qoute me if i used the wrong term but it is a slovwr method they use)
Geckorockets I guess the time is worth it for such great results.
+CoLomBiaSauriO They might use alot of scripting for rigging?
***** I really don't know, but their software does seem to be heavily customized. It might just as flexible as their animation.
+CoLomBiaSauriO Ease ins and ease outs. If you go into your graph you can see and edit the curves to make your poses ease in and ease out.
The walking and small moving animations reminds me of The Sims lol
ikr
The walking in this were just tests before going to the full animators. Sims is basically the same, just never gets passed to a pro animator. It's just quick basics to get the point across. Just like these were, just tests before the full story animators got hands on them.
Animation is so cool. It's amazing that people are able to use computers to make such amazing movies.
What's even cooler is that there is software that's free now days that can potential make just as big of movies as the pros do. It does take a lot of time though if you don't have lots of help to finish it up.
I just realised that anger looks like mr crabs
OH YEAH MR CRABS
Aaaa
Lmao 😂 did not notice that when I was younger watching it.
Nobody:
My sleep paralysis demon at 3 AM: 1:39
Do half the people making these jokes even have sleep paralysis?
@@brokenrobot2004 key word: jokes
Watching all these clips just makes me want to become a Pixar animator one day, I want to even before watching these. I love PIXAR!
3:43 reminds me of sims 4 😂
Choonient Jimin İts sims 4 disney style edition bruh
AT 2:53......I DIED.
Hes a frog.
Hes My grandpa
Seems like such a fun, creative environment, I'd love to work there
Cynder Carroll me 2
Me too, but I have no artistic talent
Okay go do several years of art and animation classes in university, build up a huge portfolio of art work and then send it Disney and apply. You'll be working there in no time!
1:20 Looks like someone was disgusted by that keyboard.
I see
It can't be helped, since the illustator himself always works with pencils.
ew keyboards
I still don't understand how animation is possible. It's more time-taking than building a bridge over the Pacific Ocean.
Technology and a lot of patience. Plus practicing on how to do things makes flow much smoother.
@@FurlowT It's not just about animating, as you've got to tell a story through that which is more important.
And what about creating the design of the characters from the top of your head? This is why I love animation!
@@joliepolie77 They have separate Artists who pencil draw those characters from top of their heads.
@@joliepolie77 you'd need to have a concept written on paper before you get on with sculpting or modelling the actual character in 3d, it saves time and you are more free to experiment with how they look on paper
Disgust would have looked better with longer hair.
ikr
Vivacity yea
Actually short hair is better than long hair for various reasons
naw fam
Akihira'sCrazyStuff what are the reasons?
Wow! Look at all that art! So many expressions on those models!! I'm blown away! I would love to just hang around their office and soak up all that creative energy!
1:40 me doing yoga at 3 am
I wish these clips were longer. the conversations were so FASCINATING and I wanted to hear the rest of them. honestly, I would love to see them work for a day. Just watching them actually work would be SOO cool
I liked the long hair disgust better
jodi p agreed makes her look more elegant
Me too
Yuh
A lot of people do.
1:39-1:45
Me doing my first exercise :,v
XD
Haha😂
😜😜😜
No hacia falta el pacman
My first exercise was placing a sphere. I was so proud of myself when I learned how to use special duplicate to make a sphere helix...and hopelessly watched the software crash after I accidentally made 100000 objects.

CGMeetup nice animations 😁
0:50 I don't know why, but thats so cute
it looked like Sadness was trying to do the macarena or something lol
I would love to see how pixar's animator work on one movement from start to end.
This makes me want to watch Inside Out again
This is some kind of motivation to me, who's in this major too. Thanks Pixar crews!
3:55 OMG it's Kiki's Delivery's Service OST !!
Yes, and I didn't understand why...
@@tomg9550Because Studio Ghibli, the studio behind Kiki's Delivery Service, was very good friends with Disney, specifically John Lasseter
@@jodyposey9558 Ok but to put a secondary track from kiki on one of their animation tests...
Just awesome. The attention to detail is very impressive.
1:39 And welcome back to....Dancing with Disgust!
What about the mathematicians, software engineers, programmers and design teams who make the software that make all this possible. They get no attention.
I know right?!
Georg Hieronymus They make some softwares
Jay Kitty Power It'd be nice if they threw us SE's a bone every now and then.
Georg Hieronymus This video is about the animation process. Why on earth would they be here?
RespectedGamer72 I was stating that a video for the programmers would be cool.
4:21 = Absolute. Legends.
it’s videos like these that make me really really wanna work as a screenwriter or director for disney movies
The emotions look even cuter as rough sketches and experimental animations
Amazing how much effort was put into this.
I love seeing them all laugh and have a good time as they work
Well, these must have been tooking ages to animate! I didn't expect that they were using Renderman to handle the footages pretty well, I'm jealous of that.
0:36 That drawing of Sadness is so cuuteee
0:52 Why this is so cute-
This is so magical😍😍😍😍
one day I want to be like these guys I am learning poses and movements now
Wow very amazing!!!
Fantastic!
This is magical
my classroom workspace is less professional. you can tell because half the screens are displaying meme's
Do you actually draw the frames out and make them look that detailed? I really wanna know Because I wanna work for Pixar and animate the movies
ooooooooooo a great
studio
This is amazing
LOOKS SO FUN TO PLAY WITH IT!
Miss President Romance *play* lol
Amo los estudios de animación 😍
0:52 me when teachers ask me for the homework....

This is my dream job that I know will never be real.
This vid is such a tease! :) no clip longer than a few seconds long :( is there anywhere to see more of it?
mstefanik611 googl com rexdog611 ???
That's incredible dream I wanna complete
One day, I will also work on Pixar!💓
I like how they had fun with this movie
Omg this is so cool.. this is my dream jobb
Could someone tell me? Are they IT engineers? Or?? What class i should study in?
Interesting! I am too studying CGI animation.
I like that the mom is titled “keep alive”.. just in case Jerry in rigging forgets
at 3:56 I heard studio ghibli soundtrack?
+erujie sinchioco Are you sure? Maybe they're looking for reference..
+Flippy Lumpy pretty sure :D it's from ponyo~
+Flippy Lumpy then again.. disney has a license for studio ghibli anyway
Ooooh! Didn't know that! Haha Thanks! :D
+Flippy Lumpy no prob ^_^
Awsome!
Nice animation
but no cap this is so detailed. i understand why movies take so long to make.
Just looking for adobe tutorial and im here now so inspired
Why aren't this types of videos an hour long I would watch it
Wow Good work from Libya
What I realized watching this video:
It takes tons of time to animate anything.
Unfinished animation is super creepy at times.
Awesome
I wanna see some 3D modeling on these behind the scenes vids.
Woow awesome
Such character, much development, wow O.O
It looks fun to 3D animate
They also use Maya, that's cool
May I know what SOFTWARE they use to create this majestic 3D animation?
why is Pixar great always ?
Does anyone have suggestions on where i could find someone who does this kind of work in a regular metropolitan area? I'm thinking of making something but have no idea where to look for someone with these set of skills.
It's funny.So great!!!
Looks fun
If a had this I would make them go flying while they were running
all these talented people to make a 3D animation about puberty
2:59 I can change things on the fly..... not really... CTRL Z
My dream's work :3
Waoo lo que hace pixar es impresionante
stuff like that makes me wonder if it's too late for me to try my luck in vfx/motion design/animation etc at 25 y/o i did some minor stuff (2d only) from time to time also on youtube
Departments Animating the Characters:
Joy Management
Sadness Management
Fear Management
Disgust Management
Anger Management
looks like a lots of issues
very clever lol
For those of you wondering, they're using DQ Entertainment, their own in-house animation software.
MY favorite movie ♥

*Draws a stick figure with a smiley face on it*
Good enough.
2:00 how I feel when teacher says. “No one did well on the test. I am disappointed.” And you spent 1,000 hours studying
0:51 TEACH ME HOW TO dougy TEACH ME TEACH ME HOW TO dougy LMAO
Espero poder trabajar en un lugar así pero en vez en de crear animaciones, hacer juegos, es una gran meta mía..
How do you guys make so long movies? Won’t you be exhausted by all the animating?
ha ha ha . do you think they never rest or sleep?
When I feel that I don't want to draw... I'll say to myself eyes on the prize, Big-A
